Near page 2 again (the last post on page 1) and a whole week before we get turn 2. Geepers Creepers, maybe this should of been a one week game, I'm coordinating between the nations like magic, no one has argued with me yet, in fact, all nations have agreed on a course of action. It's real nice.

Well, that's what I see, pile apon pile of burning, rotting orc flesh.

Long Rider Captain Drurganda was killed when his fleet was destroyed by the Northmen.

Harad Commander Ulfacs was killed when his fleet was destroyed by Southern Gondor.

Quiet Avenger Hero Ingar was killed when his fleet was destroyed by the Sinda Elves.

So, by hard work, I've turned my biggest liability into an asset (well, it could've been luck).

But, I'm still in sorrow over Elrohir. He was a fine upstanding young man, he'll be missed. I guess we'll just have to hunt his killers down like the dogs they are and whoop em. As for that trinket, there are more.

Five on two? I thought it was 12 on 12? As for Eriador, I suppose Duran is just an observer at 1909? Since this is a grudge game, the normal things shouldn't apply, your communications and sharing "Should" be superior to the normal (I know mine is, I talk to myself all the time).

Anyway, back on a lighter note, I did like the move of moving the WK and RH armies to 1407 and then moving on with the WK, well, like is not the word I'm seeking, admire is more like it because I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL!!!! Good move guys.:(

How about I propose a different artifact strategy than the one you said; how about ya'll sit back for a few turns and let me get a couple of LAT mages? I didn't start with any.:(

the results are in, and it seems like Morannon did fall. Although I'm eagerly awaiting reports from my fellow Dark Friends. As you are playing all freeps (just plain nuts), you are probably already planning your next moves (addicted...no ?) and our downfall (powerhungry maybe).

You're lucky the dragons don't seem to like me (could it be the smell ?), or N.Gondor would be toast by now, with S.Gondor and Corsairs soon to follow. But those overgrown lizards will learn the might of my will (or the itching-power of my lice), and soon join my commanders in their desire to rid the world of the filthy freeps. Beware.

Actually Mike, I can't wait to open my turns. I think you are trying to intimidate me, but it won't work. By no means are you whooping me, you will have to earn a victory, if you can. Think about it, Witch King capital - gone; Dragon Lord capital - gone; Dog Lord capital - gone; Mordor breached and all you have to show for your troubles is the Corsair capital (and a few more Corsair MT's I'll admit too) and all this by turn 10! Now, Vamag belongs to SG and hiding the FK in Northern Harad will come back to haunt you soon. Your small excursion into Rhun will soon be squashed and then it's back to playing defense only militarily for you.

So, my question to you is; Do ya'll want to surrender now?

FP have taken 2 WK MTs, 2 Drglord MTs, 1 Rhu, 1 Dog = 6

DS have taken 2 NG, 3 Corsairs plus a Corsairs city.

Doesnt that make us ahead?

In my book, the FP have about 10 turns to establish a big economic and military advantage which they then need to fight to hold onto and build on to victory. Otherwise FP get swamped by DS characters. I am sorry to say that I think you are going to need to pull a rabbit from out of the hat sometime soon...

Still, heres hoping you are magician Scotty - I am enjoying this!

Scotty, you need to gee your boys up a bit to get them moving. SG didnt move at 2831. Eothraim didnt move at 3022. Dwarves didnt move at 3620. SG did arrive at 2136 - but too late (you really should fire your Corsairs commanders - they just havent done the job for you this game).

Hey Scott.... I had a good turn. I was worried when I saw the huge SG army at 2136 - but now my Harad boyz are dancing in the streets. That was a close close battle - decided more or less on good morale of some of my troops, and getting the combat spell off. Phew!

I cant be held accountable for the fate of Belechel...... and poor old Angamite seemed to take a turn for the worse..... Still at least he has his pal Taurnil to keep him company.

HE would kill a few of those lackey-Dragons that the dark servants seemed to have at their beck and call.

Please don't buy that can. It is of no use against us strong orcs. It will only kill all the fleas, flies and even some rats that have made our clothing (and hair) there home. It's the same as putting us under a shower. We'll get un-unclean and that pisses us off. We'll fight like hell... That's not what you want, 'cause until now we were just giving the younger ones a chance to work out. You don't want to see old granny orcs wacking away all those fine men in steel armour. Report from the battlefield, December 1650, the glorious fall of Carlon


As the sea mists rose, Carlon gazed across the harbours of voul Vamag. Since its fall to the Gondor-lings months earlier, it had become cleaner, sweeter smelling and generally less likeable. Now it looked even worse - a huge fleet of ships just arrived, with troops dismounting fast.

It was the end of a long road. 10 months of war, ten months of victory. Carlon had commanded them from the first - the old light horsemen of Akhor. Only 2 men left of the 600 that started the war, he knew them both by name. Og and Ug. They had taken The Havens together - their first glorious victory. And then the whole of the south coast of Corsairs and back again in 3 turns. Then they stemmed the first invasion tide of the Gondorlings. ANd the second coming of the Corsairs. And the desparate 3rd defence of the 'lings and Corsairs of 2 months ago. And just 2 weeks ago they were victorious over Throkmaw.

Now they were outnumbered, out manouvered - and with Celdrahil facing them, out generalled.

Gulp.

This was it. One last battle. Certain death. Certain death for the boyz - and for the commanders? Capture maybe, but survival almost for sure. But that wouldnt be right. Where the boyz go, Carlon goes. Just one chance for victory.. just one chance for survival, CHALLENGE Celdrahil, it might work, if there is a god of heroes it WILL work - so call challenge! Actually good riddance, and more importantly good game! You played on much longer that I thought you would. We've been (actually the CL has) been pulverizing you since at least turn 12 or so. You have immense intestinal fortitude to take that turn after and turn, stand back up, brush yourself off, and say proudly: "Please sir, I want some more!"

Are you going to try the meglomaniac-thing again and play another whole side, or is back to the pedestrian one nation biz? Inquiring minds need to know!

Scott, thanks for a cracking game

About t6 or t7 we really felt on the ropes. You almost got through to the soft underbelly of Mordor - from memory we took some lucky guesses more than once to keep you off our undefended towns. I did get the feel though that you had pushed all-out through 3124 at the expense of the 2nd (or 3rd wave) and once we finally got dragons and agents firing, we clawed our way back into it.

Standout moments for me (timings approx!):

- taking the Corsairs capital on t5 with the glorious CL and QA
- the assassination of Elrond t8 and John's writeup on this forum
- realising that you had stacked all the command artefacts on Glorfindel and were dragon hunting
- killing Glorfindel and having Tormog as a rank 120 commander
- getting onto 2135 with 6000HI, only to realise that you had got bloody Throkmaw there
- stopping 2 armies from getting onto 3621, and when the 3rd one got there, I had a dragon :-)

Plus many more.

You really did keep coming at us in a way I didnt think you would be able to for the last few turns. I know you lost Nmen - which other nations did you lose? How did you keep in NG for so long? We lost Rhu to a slip up around t14. Hmm.

It was true, most of the starting kings were dead, but I play a nation, not a character so it doesn't bother me to lose a nations king. As for what nations I lost, just the Northmen on turn 22, I didn't get the pc trans order done the turn before, or they would of still been in.

I really thought that I had ya'll on the ropes around turn 10 or so, but as ya'll said, a few breaks went against me and then the incredible run of dragons. Once they started showing up in just about every army I saw, I knew that it was either get rid of a few of them or lose quickly--thus Glorfindel the dragon killer. Too bad he got knocked off looking for em, was that planned? Did ya'll know Glorfindel was a dragon killer before you assassinated him?

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this game (even though it was a uphill battle for the last half of it).

Again, I want to congratulate ya'll on a well played game.

Yeah Scott I knew what Glorf was up to. We located the Dwarven Ring of Power around t12, and then another of the big command artefacts - and once we knew both of those were on Glorfindel it wasnt too hard to guess. The first time we located you, you were on 2809 so Tormog went to hang out there, and I got lucky almost straight away.
