Thanks Mac for restarting the thread. At last I have access again to a MEPBM forum. After upgrading to IE6, I couldn't get access to the pbmforum anymore so glad that it's xferred over here now.

Looking forward to some taunts.

Hey Fletch,

That's not very nice blaming me for the demise of your dwarf characters. If they had learnt how to clean their beards then they might have been infected with such a deadly disease.

Many thanks to my dearest enemy Ben for pointing me in the direction of the FAQ list... "Junior Member" was too grating for me to endure!

All this covorting with Orcs and Khandlings is making us sick. Not to mention all the time we spent with the elves on the way here. We'll obviously need to delouse once we get to Khand Amu!

It will only be a matter of time now. Way to miss the army com by the way...

Yeah, yeah... last I checked you hadn't issued move orders for the almost-dead commander either... I guess both sides missed the mark on that one eh?

Never fear- all mistakes will be soon ammended, and just in time for Rhun's arrival after a long hiatus! We were wodnering if you had been unnerved by the sudden loss of so many armies and pop centres a few turns back... glad you could make it to our party...

Things are looking kinda desperate if you've got the Cloud Chump and Blind Fool leading armies to stop the Northmen's path of destruction, eh? Yeah, we're correcting our mistakes now. Your offensive on the west back of the Anduin has come to a screaming halt.

Uh . . . Silvan . . . . who would you expect to defend the backdoor of Mordor? At least our Cloud and Blind Lords are capable unlike most games!

Yes, Mac, it stinks to be a "newbie" on the board all over again. But at least you have a picture with your postings. You must tell me how that's done! (I've become so inept at internet/computer things these days . . . lack of time and getting old I guess . . .)

I guess Ben is used to games where the servants just curl up into the fetal position when the freeps come rolling in... sorry dude- you're just making it more economical for us to fight you--- your side can afford to send thousands of troops into the back door over a period of turns- good for you.
We can afford to field the agents, curse teams and armies for the turn or two it takes to destroy you. As an added bonus, we don't have to guess where you are either! I told you you'd be coming to me... (I WAS thinking more in terms of agents buuuuut... I'll take what I can get!

Generalisimo Macman,

You and your yapping friends merely help disguise the greater purpose of the One. Keep waiting for Elves and the stumped ones, the Leaders are coming.

Well, finally the Northmen have been given the opportunity to speak.

The other day I was sitting on my throne in my capital looking south towards Mordor. I saw smoke rising from beyond the mountains, and I thought it was just smoke from Barad-dur.....but NO it couldn't be. To my surprise and joy I realized that the smoke was rising from the Dragon Lord capital at 3822.

I smiled to myself and thought "nice job, boys"

I wonder how long Bain will survive, now that I know the DS knives are after him....... problably not long, but he did a fine job.

General Bain, soon to be 6 feet under with a smile on his lips

Oh, no, not the gates. This means I'll have to spend a saturday at Lowe's buying a new fence to put up. I'm not sure I'll be able to do my work with the stench of your dead bodies just on the other side of the gate.

Thats ok Russ, if you build a fence, most likely a slight wind or small child can knock it down! I imagine you'll man it just as well as those boats of yours ehh??<S>

Not to worry- we'll use captured Dwarven smiths and masons to build new gates at Morannon... there's got to be a few amongst the thousands clamouring at Khand's and Dog Lord's front doors... we'll take a few prisoners this time round...

You guys may take Tirith, but we'll easily take it back. However when we take Morannon, I guarantee you guys will have problems trying to take it back from us, if you do so at all.

- Ben

Macman
3rd February 2003, 05:15 PM
I would LOVE to surrender, but there seems to be too many of our guys still alive and well for your guys to keep watch over... yours are dying off pretty fast ya know?

I think it would be easier for you guys to throw in the towel. We still have most of our pop centres intact and unscathed...lots of room for POW's! and our armies are already well placed inside Gondor and Mirkwood so surrendering to us will be much easier and more convenient by far than having us walk out of our strongholds to find your guys.

Last I checked, Mirkwood is free and clear of any DS armies and I imagine it'll stay that way. As for your little incursion into Gondor, well, that's going to be taken care of this turn as well.

Meanwhile, we're knocking on the gates of Morannon again, not to mention a whole bunch of other places inside Mordor. I'll be seeing you soon.

- Ben
Silvan Elves

Macman
3rd February 2003, 06:20 PM
You're right- Im sure Mirkwood will stay clear of more armies... and the little incursions into Gondor will not doubt subside shortly. Though I will have to ask you to knock louder in and around Mordor... the orcs laughter is drowning you out...

Macman
Corrected, and chagrined.

So would this be the same method of "storming the walls" that you lot used at Minas Morgul ?

If so then I fear the Orc laugher will only get louder.......

Once again Brendan, I would like to point out that it was you cowards that dropped the bridge the first time. You lucked out there, just as lucked out dropping the bridge this time around. But we'll see who has the last laugh. Morannon's going to fall, and there's not much you can do to stop it.

Then we'll be laughing down at your orcs at they try to take it back. :)
