Ah, this one has been stumping players for over a decade now. No-one as far a I know has ever worked out what the answer is. Many people know what the answer isn't however...

That uses all 15. Looking for some tolkien language stuff so I can see if he at some point took out 'e's and 'j's for whatever reason. Maybe making them silent and thus of no use.

You could try it, if you do let me know how you go. The research continues.

Using all the letters it leaves out an 'a'. You could try with the letters we do have and the answer might be ohnRonalduTki pretty unrecongnisable but its a start. Maybe putting in the entire name would work as the riddle might only be a hint as to what letters the answer makes up. Am going to go trawling the net sometime and get some ideas on elvish and the other languages too to see if I can come up with summat from there. Incidentally the letter we don't have are j,r,e,e,l,o,l,e,n

Cmon guys lets pool ideas on this and see what happens. Hopefully I'll get this one sometime and might then send several characters at once and try all my ideas in one turn.

What do you think of sharing info on riddles privately? I hate to see this one spoiled. At it's best, riddle-solving can mean sharing ideas and results with other players, as started in this thread.... but if all the answers are posted, it'll just become a reference list, making each riddle more of a task than a puzzle.

Look have been researching elvish and everything else tolkien did. Its his name. I just cant get it to fit. Suppose am gonna have to get the riddle in a game and smack as many chars as I can into the hex to try out my ideas. Have various renditions on the same theme. Who knows the program might auto-correct and let me know the proper answer.

Same here. I see this one about 3 times a year. I have it written on a piece of paper at work where I just sit and stare at it. It keeps me from knifing down coworkers.
