To all who know so much

I have 3 reports (2x 1650, 1x2950) of Lomaw being recruited with an offer of 10K and in each case he did not take the gold. Has anyone ever had him take the gold?

Since no one else has warned you, and I assume you're in a tight economy...

I had Lomaw take the gold when I recruited him; I actually made a note of it when I picked him up. (game 293, turn 9... back in GSI days) Although he SAID gold wasn't the issue, he still took it. (In fact, I remember going back and checking old turns and I never found a dragon who didn't take the gold when I actually looked at it).

I also saw in a game Lomaw take the 10K form the treasury, eventhough he said he wasn't after gold...

i just had an encounter with lomaw where i offered the 10k gold (but didn't have it in treasury at the time of the encounter). he said he "liked the offer but not the person who offers it" and proceeded to take my mage down to 1 health. This would again argue that you need the gold and that he'd take it.

One game I was in, our FK player recruited Lomaw and he did not take the gold. It was easy to tell since our FK player was running a very lean economy at the time.

Actually it was twice that game Zal, I yoinked him with the DkLts too without him taking the 10k :)

I played IceKing in Game 16 and Lomaw did take my 10K Gold. But it was worth every single penny.

Okay, now I have personally trying both ways with Lomaw (Auch, labrication). Offering him 10K twice, the first game he took it, the second he didn't (recruited both times.) Guess it is random if he takes it or not (eventhough he seems to say it's not about the money every time. All dragons are alike... *sigh*)

Okay, all the "he did NOT take the money" examples, did you have the money or not?

For the two times in my game where he did not take the money, both nations had the money just in case.

Ditto. Had the money in the treasury, but Lomaw didn't take it one of the times.

up as he heard the offer, and his words boomed in response. "10,000 gold is not the issue. To offer it,
