Haruth, that tatooed ape, was just the front man. Ossim's the real ruler.

Gondor signing in? So, where is everyone?

Hello Gondor,
Hopefully in a few turns you will be saying "Where is Gondor" as we take it apart piece by piece. Don't know if you are North or South but the result will be the same.
All in all not as good a turn for the DS as last time but still it wasn't bad. Your army in the south is somewhat depleted and surely Vinyaran took a wrong turn. So you destroy a town at 3123. This will cost is 12,000g to replace and is a tatical error. Eoth & Woodies seem to be in more of a crisis than the Ice King whose agents will tear apart Gondor in the near future.
Just my thoughts. The DS are getting stronger and the FP is getting weaker. This shouldn't be the way in the first few turns (Only joking and trying to get you to try and over stretch you hand! or am I?)
Good few turns so far. Look forward to beating you over the next few turns.
Cheers

Greetings ED MILLS,
at the moment I'm not knowing much about the position you're playing...
But I haven't forgot your way of playing.
I'll try to find it out.
The remains of your beaten armies will be found arround Mordor.
Ha, Ha, Ha !

Looks like the FK will be out very soon.

Hi John, good to hear a repsonse from you. Not in BOFA 107 are you?
As for taking my Northern Godor apart Im not too bothered. The Mordor relocation plan will suffice ;-)

Eothraim are much happier now. Not as good a turn for you as I think you would have liked. Atagavia now dead but you let Mahrcared get away. Drugandra caught. Rhudaur about to get pasted and I don't fear being eliminated any more. You all had your chance, it is gone and my victorious riders are coming home with revenge in their eyes.
Congrats with Din O though. Mahrcared fled town to avoid being next. That new lease on life may be your undoing however.

Sorry Noldo 88, sorry Ed Mills,
your great friend the Corsairs of game 39 won't play it any longer.
So I'm not able to see what I've started in burning the Harad-cap ....
Brad and me and also another unbelievable player, we won't fit together !
Brad kicked me out of his team and that's okay !
As always my mouth was wide open ( not only at the board ), we both agreed that it would be the best if I would leave this team.
Freps and Darkies I hope you'll have a great time while playing this game further on.
Have Fun & good gaming !

Brad my former Captain,
you're right !
Your ideas and my ideas how to play this game they're really not the same.
Let's say I haven't made a secret about my ideas and I stepped on the toes of the .... player.--
You've told me you have a player to play the Corsairs, now I'm a bit curious if he will be able to fullfill my plan.
In the case we won't have this .... playing with us, could be an exciting game.----
My time is over !!
Have Fun !!!

Greetings Ed,
so let's shake hands and forget this "former stuff".
Thanks for your wishes, I won't forget them !

Sorry to see Gixxer move on and best of luck to you in the future.
Someone asked if I am in BOFA 107. The answer is yes and Gondor will go the same way as the elves in that game (I hope)
Brad,
You know I prefer to give slow deaths to nations so we had to let you off the hook. Still it is only a matter of time.
Last turn wasn't as good for us but it would have been difficult to match the previous one. Still the next few turns should be very important. At the moment there is no clear advantage overall. You doing well in the west were doing well in the Eoplex etc. Nicely balanced. All we need to tip it are about half a dozen dragons and twice the number of agents. Still I can dream.
A fortnight is too long to wait!!!!
Cheers

Hello to all.
My first post here and I'm looking forward to a fun and exciting game. (It certainly has been so far.)
I'm sure things will be improved for the DS on their western front because that will soon be redefined as the area east of the mountains. :D
Current book-makers predict that our team will kill Brad with e-mail volume somewhere around turn 9....so place your wagers.

It was me!! I, playing the Dwarves. My 2 newbies are doing ok, well only one left. What nation you playing? Have let them have free reign which might have been a mistake but its they're game. It realy is hard not to write ALL of the orders for these kinda things!

BOFA - Side line
I thought the experianced player was the dwarves. What to do with newbies is difficult. I tried to remove the rules and talk to my newbie about the game and what they wanted to do. They set the strategy (attack the elves) and they then said what they wanted to do. I stopped them making silly mistakes and then got them to draw up orders. I checked the orders and corrected them. I also followed the strategy as best I could. I am the wargs and once we had decided the elves were the target and that Goblins would go for the capital (with the necro revealing it) and I was to go for the back up MT I suggested combining my cav and hiding it off map in the west on turn 1.
This worked a treat and had me "appear" one move away from their back up on turn 2.
The newbies on your side have just not been aggresive enough. Something I stressed to my ally at the beginging. Fight at their towns not ours. As a result we have virtually all our pop centres in tact. Still the dwarves move on the Goblins caused problems for them economically and without advice they would have gone bankrupt. Too many troops and not enough gold resulted in emergency disbanding of armies. I would have had less troops but had to let them see the problem (whilst making sure I could pull them back). The emergency action worked especially when your threat failed and you didn't continue into the goblin plains.
Still its been a good fun game without too much to think about. At times it has been frustrating not being able to use certain orders but that also has been fun. I so much wanted to send gold and products to the goblins to help them but I can't!
Killing Bilbo was my highlight of the game and then losing all those artifacts to an elf later on was bad news.
Would like to try again maybe with experianced players. Its certainly fun but I think if the FP are aggresive early on the DS are hard pushed. In fact I think the FP have an easier time of it but the DS are very hard to put out. The elves are weakest because they only have 2MT's with towers and the "hidden" MT isn't a problem if the DS share artifacts.
Anyway thanks for the game. 2 turns to go but I think that all 4 nations will now survive
cheers

BOFA gain - Ouch 1 commander killed in combat and the other overrun. Am running numbers now. Wouldn't give me the loyalty of the capital now would you?
Norhtmen seems to have gone against my advice of leaving an army on his capital afterall. Ach well.

I see the Cloud Lord started to get into the game and did better than a kill. That's one character slot used up and paid for.
Please respond on the shorter thread for G39 which should be just below this.
Let's keep one thread going and start a new one each turn. I know the UK players will like that. (I think I am the only one on broadband)
Cheers
