Hey Brad,

yep it's me from 140 allright.

And no we haven't been doing much against the Feydakim. In fact he's been pretty much clockin us. Gotta hand it to him.

What's going on in the west? Must be pretty quiet out there without any of us troublesome DS eh?

Nothing happening in the West. A couple of Freeps here or there, very "respectful".. ;) All the action appears to be in the East. Don't talk to them, though, disappointing...

Yeah, people mistake 4th age for Sim City for some reason. They just want to build up their little towns and move their little people around like it's an ant farm or something.

Having aggressive enemies nearby seems to help this syndrome though...

Cabal of silverin calling in. We're in the East. Wots up? So we're fighting. Mages can fight too you guys.

Stop sniggering in the corner. We're nearly done with the frog transfigurations spell. all we need is FT... sorry GSI approval and you're reptilian buddy.................

Any idea what the Kelrithian empire is up to. His armies haven't moved again. An he has almost 1500 troops in one hex. Think he's dropped? Bankrupt?

Player

Kelrithian...That's a DS, right? Geez, there's never anything on my map - someone's out? Whoa, gotta start paying attention, gonna heat up now...

Finally on the air. Pointear Sister smoke signals now being generated.

Salutations to the Kingdoms and to the true Neutrals.

The gruesome 3 in the Far East will be spanked. They broke the peace accord of the 15th Parallel of Turn 1.

Ffubar we are onto you too.
Can you spell 0 based economy?

Greetings fred of the free.

I have just now received news that a FP has invaded an innocent neutral. Bad coincidence, this neutral is also my closest (and only..?) ally in this campaign. I eagerly seek both an explanation AND immediate withdrawl of all forces and characters from Assiniboine territories.

Greetings to the North Kingdom.

The FP are on a private message board run by one of our member.

Your concern/request has been forwarded to all of the FP. I/we hope to resolve this issue ASAP.

Considering what Silverin asked of the NK lately you must know its nothing to do with us. There were rumblings of this early on but he was told NO and to find someone else. Even help us out in the East. He then said NO.

C'mon guys whats happening out there in the Game 40 world. Are we all lurkers?

Player
10th February 2003, 11:19 PM
The North Kingdom has received some information from the Free Peoples in regards to their ally's slight towards my own. Retribution shall be swift and justice shall win the day. The Dwarves haven't learned to stay in their dank little holes? They'll have to be taught yet one more time.

Oh we're out here allright. Just lurking in the south where it's nice and warm and the gold production is great. Lord, you should see all the camps we have down here! It's like a Club Med.

Of course there's no innocent NEUTRALS for us to SNEAK ATTACK as some shorter northern nations are apt to do.

But then we never thought that one up as a way to win the game. Interesting strategy...

Mythwood checks in.
We are a shy and retireing group,
who do not get out much.

Just stopped by to say "hi"
to our friends - and the real neutrals.
and trade insults with the DS and attackers.

- so do I have a bid for my 1st lot:
2 weak insults and a slur ??

lionatus
14th February 2003, 12:22 PM
lurking is ok, just don't get caught... you know who you are!!!!

trodzo

Sure, I'll give you half a dozen Feydakim hides and a dagger between the ribs for it.

Do I win?

Trodzo

and

If there are no other bidders

[at least I hope he's not coming after me]

Any more Bids??

Hrm,

how about a Silverin snowcone, a CD compilation of the Pointear Sisters greatest hits, three dead Norsemen (accidents, not my fault), and the blue-prints to the Kelrithian master plan for world domination.

But wait, there's more. We'll include in this kit the best in South Harad Duct Tape to fix your Broken Drum (will take 12 linear miles more or less), an online Geography tutor to help the Khazad learn the difference between enemy and neutral territory, AND two dozen "I miss Sauron" bumper stickers for your yak sleds.

What would you say now? Still want the dagger in the ribs?

Trodzo

lionatus

Its so cold here we don't need water bottles to travel with, we just shake our robes and suck the ice. An ice really sicks.

as for the dagger you want a fireball up your a**... hehe mage humour, can't beat it.

Rob
19th February 2003, 07:52 PM
So...is it too late to begin diplomacy with the Free? Now that the Broken Drum has vanished into history, I have no more territorial ambitions in the North West (at least for a while).

Seems KE is not out. Allies still telling me he's out and I now know he's not. Kinda twigged when 2 of his armies attacked and moved. Nice intel guys, you know who you are. Silverin is doomed as we don't have the troops to fight this one out anymore.

Hello Lords of Middle-earth.

Lord Kelrith of the Kelrithian Empire is here.

Sorry for the delay, but internal strife within my command staff has caused some confusion. These problems have been taken care of and my forces are once again on the move.

My people are an empathetic bunch. It didn't take long looking at the setup before dozens of NGO's taking up their cause started hireing lobbyists to petition our councils. The spirit of the underdog caught us all up and now we're looking pretty impotently exposed down here with all that HC running around our little villages...:( C'est la vie, we'll die in the dust if need be, at least it's bloody warm down here, worst winter in years at home.

Oh, so that's the definition of empathy. Being evil myself, I never learned it in school. But if it means talking nice-nice to your enemy while secretly building recruiting centers in his back yard I might pick up on it.

No matter. You and your silly FP allies all end up Mumak food in the end.

Love your enemy. Another lesson you mislearned, etc. I love you all down here - the dances, festivals, muddy drinks that knock you on your ass...great place. Too bad about this whole world domination bit though, get's in the way of the sightseeing.

I can't believe you guys haven't taken down the Kelriths yet but instead are about to get swept from the north east.

Maybe NK can spare some recruiting centers up there too. hee hee.

Of course we could always just divide the world at the Misties and all go for burrito's instead like civilized folks...

OK, we changed our minds. It is our prerogative. Duck taping is disgusting and will be no longer allowed.

In honor of these poor and defenseless creatures we come up with some new & groovy moves that we call “Duck”.

Now that we have the proper instruments we will be touring the World. Distances are of no concern. So if you are having what you think is a lonely encounter or happens to be in the middle of your capitol you may be required to perform the “Duck”. If you don’t know your steps the consequences will be dire, for you anyway. La Neu failed the test, her soul is winging free.

Wizards Of Cabal,

We are impressed with your fighting spirit and your ability to call the forces of magic around you. In the end it is the human spirit, muscle, and steel that will carry the day.

Wow. I've seen some crummy play in my time, but I've never been backstabbed by SEVEN neutrals at once. What a bunch of complete chickens. BROK! BROK! BROK!

If the FP would care to discuss a truce so we can all gang up on these wankers we'd be happy to talk about it.

Duh Brad.

Ascalon raids Mythwood. SK and Border Wardens attack the DS in the south. Golden Horde and LoU turn on their ally the Kelrithians.

Are you really just working with the FP and not the rest of the neutrals, or are you two-facing them as well. Three of you lying neutral bastards are attacking me at once, plus the Kuro Ko, plus Pointear Sisters. Geeze, it's almost enough to get a guy down.

Anyway, the neutrals are stomping us DS hard now, and we'd be happy to work with any FP to divide and conquer their scabby cheating no-good wimpy lying backstabbing crummy hides.

Chill Dude. This isn't the British attacking the American's in Axis and Allies you know. And send me a "lie" that I told anyone. Thought so. I suspect the southern DS will be one tough nut, but then, from turn 0 looking at the set up, nobody would be so narrow minded to claim that they weren't leaps and bounds ahead by virtue of their geography from the get-go...you wanted it, you got it, here it comes. Don't blame us if you're suffering from short-sightedness.

What can I say, Gunboat has it's allure....

It seems yours is the only email I don't have in my address book for this game...go figure, eh? Noticed you selected "I enjoy being the bug" on the bug hunt poll on mepbmlist... I'll take that as an omen for this one.. ;)

Alas, I doubt it. I think it's crummy you guys outright lied to us as well as "lied" to us and don't really feel like being your punching bag for the next six turns while I cling to life.

Since I can't even get a pulse out of the FP I have to assume they've either all dropped or just don't care anymore.
