Not with a bang or even a whimper.
One of the things that I believe most players enjoy about this game is its interaction with your opponents as well as your allies. I have to say that with the exception of the Huiatts, this game was a disappointment for myself. There was never any doubt for our team that we held the advantage in this game. Lack of coordination of effort doomed the DS to defeat. In the South there was some challenge with the Quiet Avenger and Harad putting the Corsairs to the test. The Long Rider also caused some stir when he assaulted the Northmen but that attack and threat was short lived. Only in the south was there any DS success and between the staunch defense by the Corsairs and the timely intervention of Free assassins this attack too was being stopped. Southern Gondor was about to assault the QA and this would have eliminated the threat from that nation.
Morannon was about to fall. Free armies were already inside Mordor and more were lined up to exploit the opening to Mordor when Morannon was taken. All in all the game proved a good training ground for the Free players and allowed us to fine tune some of the plans we had made. The lack of Spirit from the majority of the DS team however made this game less fun than it had the potential to be.
