Hi Happymadcat,

could it be that the site you link to is infected with a virus?

I did click on it (canīt resist... must click...) and I got 3 pop up windows, none of them had anything to do with LOTR.

Somethings are more important Elf Baiter than the missus wishes LOL. My missus throw a fit and calmed down after visitor after visiter fell in love
with the weapons and shield. Now she's smiling and making noises about
Arwen's sword. Lol

Nice point. Unfortunately she's not real big into some of my 'hobbies' she's a real girlie kinda girl (at least MERP is safer than free climbing, its' nerdier but safer, cant keep her happy;) ) But..... i could get some of the replica prop jewellry as well, and then she couldn't gripe so loud LOL

Adrian

actually, thinking back she did like all the films, maybe i could work on the Arwen angle :D

Well if that is the way your Mrs is, I would suggest you order helmets and shields and skip the sword and daggers.

Hey Madcat, you should dress up like Strider and post it on our Yahoo, LOL

For all you beta-males out there: Just tell the wife that it is part of your job description to protect her and the family. You then clash your sword on your shield, growl and grimace (think viking berserk about to plow into an Anglo-Saxon shield wall). She will either be impressed and applaud or be so amused she will remember why she married you in the first place.

Or decide to divorce you for being such a pratt and embarrising her in
front of her friends, neighbours and family :D Hmmmm, there's always
a hope! LOL

Interesting, all I need is Aragon's clothes and voila. LOL But then the rest of
the team would leave the group.. :p

See now you are thinking. I bought my old lady One Ring replica hoop earrings and an Evenstar pendant, to go along with my Ring of Barahir (speaking of nerds <g>) -- which we got in time to wear to the Return of The King premiere (actually we went to one of those all day marathon screenings that had the extended versions of the first two and ran back to back before RoTK).

I have Anduril, Glamdring, and Sting hanging on the wall in my house btw. (Actually my son's room. <g>)

Lovely! I do like Glamdring I have to say, pity about the blue though but
Sting??? Great if you 3 years old and 1 foot tall, might aswell use a toothpick
on an elephant :p

you can be beaten to death with a shield and i'd hate to think what you could do to someone with a war helmet ;)

i have to order two swords etc so that in the divorce settlement i don't have to cut them all in half. lol

i have three little girls, i'm attrociously outnumbered and the only time all four of them want me, (my wallet actually) is to go clothes shopping :o

The axe set looks awesome. Most of the swords and knives look fantastic. The staves look a bit disappointing (on the website) by comparison. Anyone actually laid eyes on the product??

A friend has the Gandalf staff and it does actually look good but if they
added a spear tip it would be so much better. :D Hmmm, I love my weapons
from Chinese, Japanese to fantasy weapons. Recently picked up a 9
piece segmented Bo staff; trying to learn its use and its going to take
years to perfect. Probably will be listed as reason 21 in the divorce
settlement. Lol

I agree about the spear tip.
I used to do alot with the three-piece staff, chucks and ninjato (preferred straight bladed swords with the longer hilt).
Good luck with the nine-piece, send me some action photos and i'll call an ambulance  lol

The weapon I would love to have from the films is the WK's huge mace but
no one makes it and I would hate to see the charge for post & packing!!
Also the Rohirrim spears look pretty nifty to me and I'm sure there are many
other weapons for the films yet to be replicated.

I've sent United Cutlery (makers of the LoR collectables) an email asking them
to start making the Rohirrim spears. I'll pass on any suggestions for any other
LoR weapons..
