It would appear that turns have been delayed.
One of our teamates got a notice from ME that they didn't have their turn. Anyway, they re-sent their info but by the time it got to ME it was probably 4-5PM their time and they likely were done for the day.
I would suspect that turns will run tomorrow AM.

Just out of curiosity....what did Bondan and Pelendur do to deserve such treatment or does Argaleb have the hots for Bondan's soon to be widdow? ;-)
Regardless, it is nice to know I won't be having to wonder about much in the way of cav strikes for a while unless the Duns decide to go on a long march.

Pelendur's been nabbed in an interesting housing scandle, seems his spacious abode cost a key supplier 3 times what said supplier sold it to Pelendur for just 3 months later... The people want a Hero and we have to maintain our Honour. Loose end talk: we've conscripted the supplier too, you'll be seeing him next :D

Nice try. I poked, you jumped... :-)
Just curious why Cardolans strategy seemed to be out of line with that of the other western blitzkriegers...but I think I have my answer. Frankly, I really like the general idea of your western assault although it has not matched up well against our defenses (to date)...feel free to disagree. Obviously, you will eventually blow us out if enough pressure is applied....but its our job to make it as slow and painfull as possible.
Hence the dug in like a Europeans thong comment. ;-)

Utter nonsense. Some good beer is made in Europe, along with plenty of dubious brews (belgian raspberry ale = beer for the queer).
Major label export beers (e.g. Bud, Fosters) cannot be trusted. North America's domestic market has been greatly enhanced by the proliferation of small / micro breweries. Huge selection, some of it really good stuff.

Come Come Diehard.,
A Dragon Lord attack fizzled? Isn't the Dragon Lord one of the most outnumbered and assailed positions in the game. Normally going into turn 4 hasn't the Dragon Lord come under intense pressure just to maintain a presence in his home area? I'll let the readers of the forum figure this one out.
Turn 3 was just run. Goblin Gate is in Dragon Lord possession, for that matter every starting Dragon Lord population center is in the Dragonlord's possession if my memory is correct. The Sinda Lothlorien army has been killed off. The starting army at 2711 has been killed off. The follow on army from 2711 has been killed off. From what I hear the commanders of the Woodman armies who have engaged in battle are now in hospital nursing wounds and trying to recover their self respect. Bain is now dead, Sneed the new agent named by the Dwarves is now dead. Thrar withdrew from Dol Guldur this turn as he was not strong enough to take it on his own. The Woodmen have gone north to Mount Gundabad I hear, has it fallen yet? I don't think so. For a game to be going into the fourth turn and with at least 3 nations sending forth their might against the Dragon Lord and to have taken nothing hardly sounds like a Dragon Lord defeat to me.
As for the Fire King. Do you forget he hires armies for free. What did your victory gain you?Well you still hold Osgiliath whoopee!!! Have you taken anything from Mordor? Were you able to move any of those armies into Mordor?
How about in the West? What has the loss of all that cavalry gained your nations except more balanced budgets? Yes you have taken a camp maybe even two I can't remember. You have however lost Imladris.
In the South, well as Gixxer said counting may not be my strongest suit, but I don't hear any desperate cries from help from Harad or the Quiet Avenger. Time is our friend Die Hard; we don't die hard we are deathless we don't die at all. We're having fun, hope you are as well
End of first Novella; hope you were entertained Brad B.

26th May 2006, 08:54 PM
Oh no, Morannon is a biggee, but what it is going to cost you and the question of can you hold it, well that's a different one altogether. I just found Die Hard's comments about a Dragon Lord offensive amusing. I don't expect that many would expect the Dragon Lord to be much more than defensive against the superior numbers that can be fielded against him.
The game is early I expect the happenings around the Fords of Isen are one cause of Thrar's sudden departure from Dol Guldur, maybe it was fear that what happened to Bain would happen to him. Early in the game I think most would be expecting to see pressure on us. We think we will weather it pretty well though. Hope you're not too attached to those huge armies.

A Dragon Lord attack fizzled?
Did 2514 fall? Looked to be your plan. Dragon Lord military is looking pretty pathetic now.
What did your victory gain you?Well you still hold Osgiliath whoopee!!! Have you taken anything from Mordor? Were you able to move any of those armies into Mordor?
1000 light troops could've done the same job. Sheer waste. Keep it up.
Brad Jenison
26th May 2006, 10:29 PM
Nope on both points Die Hard.
Did we attack at 2514? No, if you read the reports carefully you will see that the Dragon Lord army there stood on the defense and allowed the Sinda and Woodmen to throw themselves on the spears.
The Dragon Lord armies may be smaller but they still do exist unlike those they faced. Come on Die Hard you have 3 nations in eastern Mirkwood the Sinda, Dwarves and Woodmen. You outnumbered the Dragon Lord, had many more character orders, bigger recruiting centers and yet now there is no Dragon Lord population center under threat. The puny 1200 Sinda at 2514 are not a threat to Dol Guldur. There is no credible threat to Goblin Gate. You will probably waste an awful lot of troops in trying to take Mt Gundabad as well. The Military campaign in Mirkwood has been a failure for the Free many troops spent for no gain.
As for Osgiliath against the forces of North and South Gondor would have simply over run a thousand light troops. We know that you know that as well. The Fire King's troops gave as good as they got. You lost about 2200 troops most of them higher quality than his. He can replace his at no cost in about 3 turns and have them ready for immediate use. Oh and as said earlier at no cost. Argirion and Celdrahil will have to go home pick up more and sea lift them all the way back to the front. That is if you have someone at home recruiting for you now. Now add to that the fact that you probably realize that Minas Ithil is under new management. It will be a bit more costly for you to take than it was for us.
Hope you are having fun now, we are. Yep we're sitting here thinking, you've got us right where we want you.

So your "master plan" was to throw away the cream of the Dragon Lord's military without inflicting any permanent damage? Hmm, that sounds a little fishy. I suspect it comes down to the fact that:
1. you couldn't seal the deal on the reveal, and
2. you couldn't prevent us from massing substantial forces there
- Keith
p.s. For a guy who is so pleased with his team's progress, you're awfully defensive...
Brad Jenison
26th May 2006, 11:17 PM
Well you must search for the silver lining in every cloud. No 2514 wasn't revealed but then Imladris was and was immediately taken. Stop you from massing substantial forces. How would that have been done? The point is that you massed as much as you could. It wasn't enough though as it was wiped out. This made it impossible for the Dwarves to take Dol Guldur though why you wasted Bain in such a way confounds me. You had to know he couldn't take Dol Guldur, so why send him to such an obvious target. To have him murdered for no return at all? He killed off around 500 troops was that really worth such a character and the Horn of the Deeps? Permanent damage? The Dragon Lord is playing for time trying to hold a presence in Mirkwood keeping troops tied down that cannot be used elsewhere. He can't fight your three nations in a stand up fight at least not in this stage of the game. You have troop numbers on your side. You have a bigger recruiting base and much much more gold. Now in a few turns when the Dragons start to make their presence known maybe then permanent damage will be done.
Me defensive? Keith, you're the one trying to spin this one. Instead of the Free beating the brains out of the Dragon Lord you have lost your armies and taken nothing, not just in Mirkwood but everywhere. You haven't hurt the Witch King have you? Has the Lord of Angmar lost anything? Even Mt Gundabad is still in his hands and you sent the Maethelburg army that way. Can you take it? If you do will your commander survive fatal backache?
Rhudaur has lost a camp or two but you have lost Imladris and it appears that the Duns have company. Where is the Arthedain and Cardolan Cavalry force? On barbecue spits in the Rhudaur army camps. You have lost the mobility edge there it seems.
What have you taken in the South? Anything?
Mordor? Anything? Brad correctly points out that Morannon is under serious threat but come on you should be able to mount at least one threat.
Defensive, yes we are. That is how we planned it that is why there was no great Dragon Lord offensive.
I am happy you think things are going so well. Come and get me.

your right,
the evils are killing us everywhere. perhaps we should just pack up are marbles and go home. maybe our overall game concept is that we don't have one, or it might require more then 3 turns to unfold. nah, we just don't have one. i always get full of hysterics when when the free don't rout the evils from angmar and mirkwood in 5 turns. its a long game, its a team game, so we'll see what happens.
sm
wait, you did take imladris, and you killed bain. actually, i'm a bit more concerned about the price of the metals. the other two are a com-50, and an unfortified m town thats fairly indefensible once its revealed( barring a major investment in timber better spent on war machines.) good luck in all things not game 18. sorry ed, not biting on your bait.

As I said I hope you are enjoying the game because so far we are.
Steve, you're right Imladris is pretty indefensible once it is revealed. Especially when there's no one at home defending it and little distraction to keep Rhudaur from snatching it.
Bain however is a serious loss even if he gave his toys away. It will take a lot of time to replace a 50 point commander and that is not even mentioning his other skills. We know that you guys had one starting Dwarf character hire an army in the North. You have two others commanding armies from the Iron Hills and one in Kheled Nala. Gain and Bain both started in Khazad Dum, Thrar joined Bain not a lot of spare Dwarves to go around especially with Sneed's untimely death.
Enjoy the game

humh,
so the dwarves are commander short. okay, at start, they are commander short. next, you'll forecast the sun rising in the east with stunning accuracy.
losing ashdu in combat at 2405 would mean what to the witch king?
using the cav of rhudar to dispatch the noldo garrision at 2209 was what?
now, i understand ashdu/feagw are still free, but i like the chances they don't wind up that way in two weeks. why is it that we commit our cav to pointless battles, and you commit the rhudar cav to a noble effort to keep the noldo from defending whats indefensible? how many witch king commanders are sitting in space, not recruiting troops(thanks for selecting double tactics at 1804, made my arthedain happy to face less hi). wait, did i slip??
you have your plans, and your objectives, we have our plans and our objectives. on the subject of plans and objectives, i think the ice king is a turn too late, too slow, and out of position. i kinda like how the huge freep armies at morannon and ithil look. granted, they'd look better at 3423 and 3224(worse at 2715/1804), but one hex at a time. nice play on the market, a turn sooner then expected. really, weakness at 2514, thats the best you could do with that mage. cast weakness and move.
sauron will recieve justice at the feet of the free kings, my job is to help arrange the meeting. it'd be sad if some of your agents had spent the opening turns of this game sitting in places that served no purpose, perhaps they are doing so now?(poke, poke, poke) stealing from my eothraim camps, please.

The talk was much amongst the Northmen tribes and their cham pions...pion anything actually...
Barlin, aptley named from whence he was born (in the bar) and the sound he makes after a big night on the Rhun Grog, shouts:
"Merry Men, transfer the timber from stick throwers to Draglines, weez be headin up the creek to dredge a channel to the Wyrm Lord... his shout aparently!"
"Psst"... he whispers to the Big E, (*note "Psst" is a quiet sound made from either end, to attract attention and aka result of copious Lager consumption),
"Don't tell the lads it can't be done... weez be just inspirin themz and raise their morale", as Eoder listens in with fingers clasping nose, just in case.
"Morale?", says Eoder, who checks the cellar thinking Barlin can't be serious... but 'clicks' when he realises it wasn't 'More Ale' he wanted,
"Ahh, morale Barlin, It be high as the lads after saturday night's pub crawl or the view our horse neighbours have (or 'Hoarse' from too much shouting "Charge!"), atop Mount Morannon" (or mount anything given the chance, aparently)
So the story is told and the Northmen Bards begin to sing songs with titles like, "Mountain of Love" and "Wake me up before you Go Go", which made no sense but was a merry time we had :D

Transferring to crapy commanders comes natural to freeps as not many of us start with the commander pool the WK does...
Out recruiting your opponent, hire, buying chars... taxes up then and you'd be about ready to receive a transfer.... you'd be hoping Robin Hoodlem and his band of merry football hooligans don't intercept the kings ransom? :)

The 3rd month in the war was dawning, and things were going well for the darkies. Derdy Dwar's defence strategy was working a treat - walk around backwards with a goofy look on your face, and when you hear the scary music start .... walk faster :D
Maybe the next tap on your shoulder will not be a loving one :)
Khamul's defensive strategies were similarly excruciating for the Freepies. The defence of Harondor was causing the Freep no end of pain..... Well it would have if they had turned up :)
You've shown how devestating your defences are where we aint, time to progress to defending the things where we is..... :)

*What? Get in a fight with a man with no teeth and a beer fixation? You've got nothing to lose in a fight (well not your looks anyway :-) I've got an uncle like that - on beer and in fights all the time. One morning he come home with a beatific smile on his face, a mashed nose, his front teeth knocked out and two black eyes. Turns out a Samoan bouncer reshaped his head into a stubbie holder (holds a 375ml beer bottle). The reason for the beatific smile? Better than plastic surgery - he managed to straighten a previously broken and bent nose :) So no, I don't fight blokes with faces like catcher's mits, I'm probably doing them a favour. Barlin wiped his eyes with a broken beer bottle as he woke... "Hmmm, the sun is up early today... and it is in the wrong place... cripes, it's afternoon!" He'd been sleeping for days and it was always past his bedtime. "And this rash?"
Eoder was laughing because he'd slipped some vegetables into Barlin's Brew, knowing full well he was allergic to solids...
Still, they had nothing to do anyway so why not have some fun thought the Big E.
They both looked at the big rock in the middle of the piddle... puddle, perhaps but it didn't matter, the sea of Rhun was deserted anyway and both tasted the same... "<yawn> is that the Long Rider in the distance" said Eoder? Barlin burped the belch or boldness " who cares"... and they happily cracked another coldie
It seemed nobody missed such far away places? They only missed real combat of which no enemy could be found that was worthy

Winsten are you trying to talk about the game? It's kind of hard to follow. There hasn't been much to comment on. As for Khamul two turns after the event. You guys seem to expect that even outnumbered three to one the Dragon Lord would attack in some powerful offensive. Has your side accomplished anything? The Duns have withdrawn from the Rhudaur border lands. Nothing has fallen in Mirkwood but Woodmen and Sinda population centers. The South has not been a resounding source of victories for the Free.
A major push at Morannon and the Ithil Pass but you still haven't accomplished much besides wasting time and killing troops who were put there for the express purpose of dying to slow your progress. Looks like all your eggs are in one basket. I have nothing to report, oh except that you took Ashyr, I took Guntram. True Guntram is not all that great a character but then again neither is Ashyr. Go ahead and take Nahald Kudan, I expected that 3 turns ago, but better late than never I guess.

Have a good game Winsten. We have won in Rhudaur. With all the advantages in troop strength you guys accomplished what? Took a couple of camps, wow, they were replaced, with no impact to our economies. Now the Duns are clustered around their capitol and not attacking Rhudaur, why is that? Could it be the fact that there are cavalry armies about that just cleared 2619 and 2520 of the Free then destroyed the Dun cavalry in the process. Your attack on Angmar will have some initial success but nothing that cannot be dealt with.
Congratulations you took Morannon. Of course you are using just about everything the Eo can scrape together. Yes Morannon is yours for the time being but knocking down those fortifications makes it a much less significant obstacle. Now it really isn't all that important is it? Poor, Winston doesn't seem to realize that we can always raise armies and even a tiny army with a dragon in tow will be very bad news indeed for your splendid huge armies. Nothing has really changed since the last time you asked me if I could see the Free Army icons. They are still where they were, our nice reception was ruined by your lack of initiative. The offer stands come right on in.

Nice liizzzard, eat Human/Elf/Dwarf flesh, be a nice (evil) dragon.

Thanks for the good laugh this turn guys....that was one miraculous threat of Mt. Gunderbad with 1200 troops. Loyalty there was 65 at the start of the turn too...happy to share pdf's after the game is over.
Anyway, at least that keeps the west interesting. I really don't see you guys rooting us out by turn 10, maybe not ever at this point. You can fluster and bluster about it (the usual forum ribbing stuff) but you know the truth.
I give Arthedain an a grade of A so far....if I ever play them I will steal several of your actions...well done.
I'd like to thank the Dwarves for swapping 2004 for 2005....better view and a safer neighborhood. :-)

What do 1200 troops have to do with it? I'm liking our chances ever more. Keep your 10 turn thingie going, keep hearing the same trite from BJ - "Oooh, Aaah, the FP 'always' do *this* and the FP always do *that* and you aren't so you suck!"... Nice box you're living in, air holes would help...the DS *always* have air holes in their box (not too large, you might see out of it now.:D )

Come on Brad. I have never said you guys sucked. Much too thin a skin there I think. I am impressed by how many troops your nation has fielded and keeps in the field. It is obvious your team has deep pockets. Your team has not played in a conventional way that much I think you would have to agree with. We didn't expect you to, and have not been disappointed. I don't think we have played the DS inside the box as you say. Maybe you expected the cavalry raiding armies, perhaps you expected the moves in the West. You obviously were surprised by my lack of offensive action or at least spent a lot of type commenting on it. So if your teams comments are an indication of what you guys felt the game would develop into I would have to say Mirkwood was outside the box you expected me to be in. As far as the other areas in the game, if our other players wish, they can comment on their own. Don't take it too personal Brad. I haven't got much else to say about this turn. So I won't be commenting. When you guys get all those troops onto Dol Guldur that should be interesting.

g'day ad's
first point to make with you is there is nothing funny about losing a major town...sauron will be displeased. talking about threats, you guys have been luckier with those towns than one wild go with the woodies and what about the forum one's, you guys haven't been much chop there :)
second point, i don't want you rooting anything of mine.... specially the lovely sheepses. eoder will be unhappy about that  you are right we know the truth but trying to convince bj of it isn't going to work is it
turd point... try stealing something of arths other than his actions... actions are for girls while beer and sheep are for men, as we northies see it :D
forf finger point is, don't swap things with dwarves... do you know where they come from and their girls have bigger beards than my sheep... also that's not soft ground your treading on... you noticed the smell lately
fiff and final finger, the cardy is special but not his service, as you will soon find.
i was going to go to another point but fingers are short in supply when one hand is occupied with a beer but how's all that attack going on the duns... hard to get anywhere once you cross the river... all soggy and no fight left perhaps...cav all tied up at the gap... such a poor nation is the duns and yet all that mighty cav and northern armies yet to make a dent, yawn :p

They have seen through the plan and fled to avoid the wrath of Ji Indur and Orduclax.
# Any more wrath from Ji and orduclax and laughter will kill us off one by one :)
Gerhard is dissapointed by our level of play.
# and his own probably? :D Forgive him, he told us you guys were alright and now he has egg on his face
The masterful play by the Duns has stopped our attacks.
# Just another smarty pants reply to your comment about how "the Duns ran home" (remember?). IF you don't recall expect me to remind you.
# When you think about it, he attacked up the right flank of Rhu drawing several armies around 1910 and you threw 3 armies at him,(2wk+rhu)... could have been nasty? Then the dog cav appear at the gap and he musters a block, just after fighting the Ice troops and losing his cav (so easily) as you put it. You were making some sense before (before you spoke  ) but surely you can see why I'm happy for my mate and ally and wished to remind you? :D
# Anytime I make a statement and you shove it down my throat on the field, please remind me...it's all fair in war and war
The Dragon Lord's conquest of Mirkwood has been completely derailed.
# Heard about that, sorry but Fair call...
Angmar is obviously about to perish.
# Working on it...
Finally oh my God after only loosing six thousand or so troops Gondor has managed to reach Barad Ungol.
# Notice when you throw the numbers around you tactfully don't mention your own losses... one guess from an uneducated man might say if the gondors lost 6k, you lost twice that? Care to place a bet ? ;)
Lucky for them their sly commanders left fortifications in their rear,
# leave our rear alone please, mine being the nicest looking...
oh check that those fortifications are still held by the DS, a dim ray of Darkness to bolster our resolve I guess, well let's muddle on. We're doomed but too oblivious to recognize it.
#OK, here comes the honest bit in an effort to see that this doesn't become a sour puss forum.
# It's just smack talk as players like to put it. I am only having a dig, a bit of a go, a tease...whatever. You don't have to bite at everything. When you start to make some sense, you go and do the grumpy thing... throw a smile or a sarcastic icon or whatever in there... add some colour and beat the sheeite out of me if you can, on the field, on the forum... Baltab crept along the pass of Morannon, his troops fanned out in front of him. (He found that was usually the best strategy, that way they didn't get in his way :) Very soon he expected to spring his trap on the Eothraim Heavy cav as Hukor led his force from the other end of the pass.....
Mahrcared hid behind a fig leaf. He suspected it wasn't very good cover since he'd had many complaints when he'd worn it as a swim suit, and it was especially bad since it was leopard skin pattern, but it was worth a try. As the two orcish forces closed, 3000 Eothraim cavalrymen sneaked behind the fig leaf and away into the night.........
Now you just gotta love the Eothraim 'Stealth cav'. Now come on, give the big fella some love :D

Hmmm, so the stuff I take or take back doesn't count? For the record, the Rhu and WK defensive protectorate ;-) has taken an MT and two towns...and will have reclaimed many of the WK pops you've taken by the end of this turn. (Arthedain didn't even say thanks when they won the movement coin toss at 1907 and reclaimed the 11k of food they'd given me earlier :-) )

Hmmm, so the stuff I take or take back doesn't count? For the record, the Rhu and WK defensive protectorate ;-) has taken an MT and two towns...and will have reclaimed many of the WK pops you've taken by the end of this turn.
Granted everything is relative....I see now that you hold a defense of the west to a much higher standard than I.
G'day AD's
Rhu and Wk took back a MT? Perhaps you "exchanged" some of yours for some of ours or vice versa but we are a sharing freep... you must love us for that
The defense of the west is highly achievable... me and the big Ape have been there and done that, got the shirt for it, in this style of gaming. I grant you, our oposition 'May not' have been as good as your lot?? but I think Brad ('the good Brad', if there is such a thing ;) makes a good point in regards to your up coming relocation plan...
Swapping Mordor for a couple of brown lands towns and a long winded northwest capaign doesn't cut it with our lot, I'll let you know.
However, by all means display your joy right here in post so you can have your balloon deflated by pricks like me, any/every time :D
And may your Dog cav continue to flounder around uselessly towards the west and the Duns so we freeps can make and rename "Nodoor" (it's wide open), a better place. Just remember this, when the B's (Bain's Boys and Beora Brad) clean their hive out and the Duns removes your letheless Dog doo doo from MEarth, your going to be in for a whole lot of fun with your "defensive protectorate"
Have fun all the same

The patrol from the Osgiliath garrison watched from their hidden position as the two men approached them. Finally the sharp eyed scout said "Sir, they appear to be wearing the uniform of Gondor." The Targen quickly ordered the patrol to mount up and they approached the two. Only when they got closer did they recognize the muddy and tired Gondorian soldiers as the famous Lords Caranthir and Argirion who had left a month ago at the head of 9,500 troops on an expedition to wrest back control of the City of the Moon. The weary pair told of the tragedy that had befallen the flower of Gondor. They told of nearly constant fighting and the destruction of the entire army by the screaming hordes of Mordor. Many of the finest of the land had been lost including the famous lords Vinyaran and Celdrahil of Southern Gondor. It would be a sad day when this news was received back within the walls of Osgiliath. The quest had failed, the City of the Moon was still firmly in the hands of Mordor. Only two remained to tell the tale.

.... and the useless lords of the Northmen watched on as all the ancy nancy Mordorians made remarks about killing some cannon fodder known as SoldaPill and Vinyard.... sounding like a good party to attend, he wondered at how he could join such a festival?
What focus does our enemy have wondered Barfin... who continued to do so, for he had run into the runaway chariot horde the Rider who was Long.... a long way from his home.
While the City of the Moon was held by the Lords of Darkness, the Moon of the Northmen was revealed but the moon did not shine upon many of the enemy for there was little of them to speak of? Still, Eoder said, "it's the thought that counts"
Still, the empty minded Northmen wondered what stories would be told behind the walls of Dol Nomore, Durgone and Morannone, which still remains a walless wasteland?
It didn't matter, for the orders had come, "The people of Rhun, down your tancards, we must move on Mordor fast before our greedy allies claim it all for their own" "To Battle, we wait no more for our enemy to arrive, we fight him in his own backyard!"

Yes they did save the Cloud Lord a lot of gold. She was looking for a cost effective way to lighten her maintenance burden so many thanks to the Gondors. Other than that, well let's see the Fire King hires armies for Free so his losses aren't that big a deal, as evidenced by the fact that it was his new recruits and those of the Dark Lieutentants that put paid to the expedition. Must not have been too awfully serious a loss to the Dark Lieutentants when looked at from that perspective. Minas Ithil still sits firmly in the hands of the Dark Lieutentants and Barad Ungol in the Fire King's.
Brad's point is well made, however we remain on our recruiting centers. So our horde production proceeds. You failed to mention the expendable cannon fodder commanders. That is indeed one advantage to the Free that 60 rank commanders are cannon fodder.

"Expensive"? I thought it was a cost saving? "Regents"... you mean we are losing posh characters in battle and we aren't bragging about it? :D
The beauty is, everyone knows what your name, rank and serial number is, it's the value of Cleanliness that's not understood.
My lads... worthless by name and nature, ranked like Australian Football players at the world cup as no hoping sheep herders from an isolated area of a no legged nation..... but those no-names kicked somebody's higher rated rectum!
Untypically, but expectedly as the commander of No-names, I prepared for the expected massacre of Northmen commanders by Din and the generally accepted loss of pops, despite my expectaions of thwartation to those efforts, my nation turned to the drink... hic, and so doth their bbbb leader...
Offencive behaviour from the Bong Rider and potentially/usually the Blind Sauce on Her... together, usually making a mess of the unsociably isolated Northmen... they proved to be no more than Regents in Rags, running to the clothier for a new set of undergarments :o
Given I am not normal and my IQ amounts to no greater than the combined amount of bottles one can consume in any one moment using only 2 hands and one mouth, agreeably and purposefully no-one on either side can disagree... the massive combat of the "Moon" City, the loss of many Gondorians and their fancy clothed leaders, simply was born as another statistic. ;)
However, your Moon is nowhere as big as the Moon of a peed off N'men commander who pays too much for troops... who can't find an enemy but incoherently states his enemy MUST take some responsibility?
His point is... There is no point in harping on about the loss of a few pointless knife recipients like, What's his name?... crappo in charge of?... minister for sanitation?
When my granny is cutting your grass with a pair of snippers while your fleet of ride on mowers are parked in the desert mowing over watered cactus, you need to rethink the power of the old flower :D

SMull's is right about Angmar being a sideshow. Sauron doesn't live there for a start. The fires of Mordor are lit but not by the DS :D
I guess the only thing left for you guys will be the Ring... show me yours for the kicking me thinks
Of course the one thing about Angamar we need to be clear on is it will become an important camaign in the near future given you are going to hitch the cart to the wagon and drag the rubble to the north :o
Tarondor... you compare an army commander to several major pops and potential killer agents to him.... your values are screwed but I'm happy to entertain your camparisons in jest.... another beer sunk for another lost comm, hic, life goes on for the freeps
Umm, something else on that, I'll let you know if you don't spread it to my allies I'm releasin gconfidential information but we Do NOT intend on threatening your pops away either KaBOOOM... the Big T was caught in the explosion... and how is the Ice King anyway, recovering in the burns unit of the Hospital is he? :D
How's the money going... planning any buyouts to boost the economy? Perhaps buying mage and conjuring some hordes will be the answer to recruitment? :p
