View Full Version : Avoiding people dropping

Hi,

I think that this deposit-debate is silly. £ 20 may not scare off old gamers as deposits, but it will reduce the recruitment of new players by 90%. And don't give ME that it won't. It will. This game isn't just for those of us who devote most of our after hours to gaming, I know lots of other guys who have played. No more MEPBM in 4 years except for some grey-haired hardcore gamers, just as Lawrence wrote. I know that it is annoying when people drop, but my best idea would be to accept it rather than try to force play from people that doesn't wanna play, a deposit won't change that. Why not take up the old game types "Experienced", "Beginners" and "Mixed"? Never could understand why they were dropped, it can't be right that there isn't enough people to fill the different game types, and it would reduce the problem of dropping in "Experienced" games, as those that drop are mostly newbies/inexperienced. They can have a taste for the game (and the annoying drop of allies) in a "Beginners" game, with opposition at their own level. Clint?

Cheers,

Good point from Anders - I generally put new players in a game together if
possible. I always like to have a team captain to look after these players
but that is not always possible I am afraid.

The problem with new, experienced, etc type of games is that it would be
even harder to fill games. We would have to have 3 games of ME available
for players in such a situation and with the influx of 1 ME player per week
that would take us half a year to fill a new game. (Not viable). So we are
forced to get mixed games as the norm.
