I'm puzzled. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the mails
when people receive them straight from the list, cos I get replies.

It is true that I use a long-in-the-tooth e-mail program (Turnpike), but
I use it because it is usually so reliable.

My e-mails usually start with a full stop (because the prog insists on
some type of opening) Perhaps that's the problem.

I'll try two tests to the list. If Kevin, Nick and Clint would be kind
enough to reply then this would help me resolve the problem.

This is TEST ONE. Do you three get this OK? (Others please ignore)

Hi Laurence,
I have been having the same problem as Nick, though I'm a subscriber to
the main list. That said this message seemed to work fine. Strange are
thee ways of computers.

Colin.

OK, Thanks Colin. Nobody else needs to respond. It was just the
little full stop at the start of my mails, causing all that bother.
