I join IF we stop calling this game WoTR, WoT to me is Wheel of Time ala Robert
Jordan.

How about the original title, Lord of the Rings ? No, that can't do either, I get
confused over that as well given that I used to play in a Legend of the 5 Rings
(Lot5R) pbm.

How about META ? ME Third Age, no, that wouldn't do either, would it ?, it confuse
me about Metahumans in my Shadowrunners rpg.

I give up, anyone else ?

But IF we can stop calling it WoTR, I accept a random allotment, No specific
alignment nor position, let's see which side and position I end up with.

I suppose you are one of those people who dislike me calling the fourth age
game FAG ?

I might have gone overboard 'a little' when I talked about "who is into FAGs
?", or "i'm really like FAG 2", or 'FAGs are nice for a chance of pace".

:)

I'm wasn't surprised that I was one of the early ones attacked by the
winning side in FAG 1.

Yeh and FA the game of.... as well. I know. No doubt there are many. As
for the game title WoTR that's what it is called to differentiate it from
normal 2950 games. Tell you what Daniel you can call it something else or
pretend to and I'll put you down for a random position?

BTW With Rob ill for two days, more games than normal, Sam away for a couple
of days, and John off this afternoon I can't ge the variant 2950 game out
today I am afraid. Hopefully early next week.

RD: You should have started reading earlier. Tolkien was around long before
Jordan. WotR stands for War of the Ring, a SPECIFIC scenario from Tolkien.

RD: Tolkien came before Jordan. Tolkien was and is more widely read than
Jordan. War of the Ring (WotR for short) describes the scenario perfectly.
Why change a title which everybody else accepts?
