Hi, just writing to anyone from g34 with the Aussies (DS) versus Brits
(Freep), its turn 18 and things are going well for the DS, thank god
for wryms, I was just wondering:

1) what other "world" games are going on? Who are the teams? I think
one finished just recently, yanks vs brits (?), what turn was that?

2) did we finalise the conditions for ending games early?

3) is there any arranged order of play for the teams?

cheers,
Murazor 34.

I'm in game 18 (Scandinavia vs. Germany) and we're at turn 30, and
nothing's decided yet.
Don't know what happened to the discussion about changing the
setup/rules of victory, etc.
Would like it clarified, though.

Victory, ha !
If you ever have to face the mad vikings of Scandinavia I promise you
a quick defeat. The only reason we haven't beaten the Germans yet, is
that we're toying with them - sort of like a cat with a mouse !
Don't forget that I know how you and your fellow-Americans play, and
I promise I will use that against you :-)

See you out there...

Hmmm ... trash talk from a Scandinavian. What next, Switzerland taking
sides? Bushes burning yet not being consumed?? Remember, we _invented_
trash talking (admittedly, much to the chagrin of world culture ...). But,
we'll lay off (for now ... we also like to talk lightly and carry a big
stick :).

Ha ha! Talk lightly and carry a big stick! That's not the picture I've got of
the typical american! Typically british I'd say. Most americans I've met talk
big and do nothing, but I have to admit that once in a while the stick is
pretty big (take nuclear weapons for example, but then again you've only used
it once)! I was sent to analyse your play in game 26 and report back to Ulrik,
but I haven't heard much strategy from you lately, so perhaps you've already
found that out! :-) I'm afraid I've revealed too much of my own style in game
26 though. Looking forward to using it on you Ben!

Sadly, Ulrik is well-acquainted with my "style." Fortunately, "my style" is not
the "de facto style" for our ME Championships team. I am but a wheel in the cog.
But it's nice to know that you and Ulrik are on the other side ... I'll bear that
in mind as well.

Look forward to the challenge. :) (Stick or no stick ...)

Harlequin Games

I will sort through the items that I have got on the scoring and see if we
can sort something out. One thing I need to know - is there a singular UK
team going to be playing and if so who is the team captain and can they get
in touch with me?

Also what teams are wanting to go into the second round?

What teams are in the first round? What game numbers are the World
Champ games?
