Oh heck, he's probably got filters up or something.

Sheesh, and I thought I went a little bonkers over that Lighthouse ordeal...

Whether President George W. Bush is an oil-man or not is irrelevant in this
case. There is so little support in the US Senate for the Kyoto treaty that
it could never have been ratified. Pres. Bush is simply recognizing that
reality. No amount of emails to the White House will change it. The whole
idea is off-target, and besides, inappropriate to this forum. Personally, I
do support the treaty and recognize the threat of global warming, so don't
think I am feeding you some party line. It is just a stupid idea, a
political knee-jerk, not worthy of anyone having the intelligence to play

Actually its reminds me of the 'lets pressure on the
oil companies to lower petrol price. Boycott buying
petrol for one specific day'.

emailing bush would be just as useless (unless you say
'do it or I will shoot you'. Then you WILL get a
response).

:)

thanks
din

p.s actually I think we (the aussies) are also
thinking of pulling out of the treaty. Some of those
nations that are not covered are in our area, so I
think the goverment thinks they have an advantage over
us.

But its election year, and the government is on the
ropes, so I don't know what they will do.

I think whatever will get the most votes, but the
goverment needs to spend more time on winning the
press before they decide on anything else.

What makes you think, we want to be part of the Kyoto agreement??
