Think this is the largest number of armies I've seen at one pop at once time:

2 N-Gondor, 1 Rohan, 1 S-Gondor, 1 Dark LT, 1 Dog Lord, 1 Ice King, 3 Fire King.

a mere 10 armies :)

Yeah, and can we please handle it like turn 4, i.e. NG attacks FK, IK attacks SG and the rest just watches? ;o)

Errr - NG didnt attack anyone. Everyone attacked NG, apart from FK. So - disorganisation in your ranks, not ours.

Not disorganization. Never that - I don't allow it.

He's not talking about last turn (five), though I see where you got that impression.

On turn four some of the nations at 3024 didn't attack and others attacked certain nations (NG and SG each were hit by seperate nations). We had the general impression the Gondors each attacked a seperate nation on that turn as well (instead of simply attacking enemy).

So Bernd is jokingly asking that something similar happen in this upcoming turn, since Oystein has pointed out that you have three nations there (with four armies) and we have four nations there (with six).

Where I think the confusion creeps in is the joke is followed up by an example of what we would like to see strategically happen at 3024 in the upcoming turn. However, with the nations referenced it gives the impression we were talking about turn five's combat and that Bernd's Turn 4 comment was simply a typo.

Enjoying the game, hope none of the comments on the other threads are overly irritating. Everyone on our side is enjoying the game and certainly no one wants to stir up bad blood between players.

Hmmm One is wondering if you could possibly be talking
about moi!!!

K.E.- mr nice guy really just a bit rough around the edges.

Don't think we have a problem with anyone - none of the threads have turned nasty as they sometimes do... simple boasting/teasing is always acceptable.

In fact I think our team has far too much class to let their comments turn a good game into a bitter one, so don't worry about it.

I think a bit of good natured banter is a time honoured part of the game and I'm terribly disappointed that the enemy have yet to respond to my amazing snippets of fiction yet.

These free-to-be-beaten people have not had much to say because they haven't done much of note. I think the postings have been rather tame compared to other games I've been in.

Good gaming to the team, lack of coordination is definately not our problem. However, by the rampant running of DS armies in mirkwood and elsewhere, it would appear that the free have not coordinated very well their defense.

We're making you use all your reserves by leaving you with big armies free to roam all over the map :)

It's our cunning plan.

We also like sending characters to known artifact locations so you can practice your killing skills and get the artifacts too!!!!!!!!!!!

tell your artifact hunters to watch their butts, we know who and where they are....i think....lemme check......yep we know.

Truly methinks the arty hunting goes well for the team with one glaring exception...oh well we should erectify the situation soon...

Holla if you hear me!

Damn I had a nice holiday! And when I returned all was the same. DS ... hello ... where are you??

You had several turns to warm up and destroy my nation, but now I'm back and while you had your chance, now it is gone!!

Cheers
Stef
PS And ofcourse there are no problems on our side. What did you think?

Sc0rp10
20th May 2003, 06:25 PM
Hey Kizersozi,

I'll let you into a secret since we've had a few turns already... there is no Rhun player in the game.

Eviction notices are being sent to both the WiK and DrL - go to mordor and await your punishment. We haven't even bothered to send one to you... since we didn't really notice you... :) Have you got any troops yet?

JRoberts
20th May 2003, 08:13 PM
I teach my 3 year old to say parden when she doesn't hear something right...so I'll practice here......parden???

My eviction notice...sent by who....the silvan elves who have lost a village and a town to me....the dwarves who didn't even have enough troops to beat my recruitment force at 2006?....the DewRag Rangers who have been hiding in the village complex so much that I had to march out there to meet them....

Or could it be the boys from gondor and their lackeys who have yet to do anything but die over Osgiliath?

If anything, I feel right at home....I'll gladly trade my two camps for a village and a town.....and I'm not even going to bring up the sucesses of my allies on their fronts....egad...before you're mouth runs off again and you off to chase it down...read the turns.

Why, if you were one of my ho's I'd slap the taste oucha mouth...wait a minute...go ahead and come over here...SLAP!!

Now somebody call my moma cause I'm gonna hurt somebody...

Pimpin' ain't easy!!!

Aaah, so the rest of your team are keeping you in the dark... don't want to tell you of their problems in case you go into a mad rage again...

You may start with additional troops in the area, but they'll soon run out, and when they do, my 100 elite LI in gleaming bronze will come over and clear out your infested flee pit in the mountains of Angmar.

Hope you had a good holiday Nman and are refreshed and full of
good ideas for as you say we have had all the early turns and moving into position the war begins in earnest as of now wouldnt you agree!!.
But let us not disregard theese so called early turns so lightly indeed let us review the last turn for the world to see.
Firstly yet another village stands ready to fall to the mighty L.R.
is your economy starting to hurt yet!
Next your faithfull allie the elves im sorry to tell you are leaving the Rhun i claim Rhubar for my own and none can stop me.besides
they are badly needed in mirkwood for there too they fail and fall
at the hands of our dragon lord.
As for your reserves well it was a good effort il grant you and the new improved major town at 3612 will come in most handy when i claim it and send forth troops into mirkwood.but your reserve forces will never survive to help out thier beloved capitol they will
perish this turn to our swift and deadly Dog lord.I have other information i could share with you but i have said enough already
and i do so want to leave you with a surprise or two.
choose well your moves this turn my nemesis.
K.E- struggles with the big words.

I feel my head is spinning under all these threats, but we will see what happens. Any more enemies ready to take on the mighty Northmen?

What's the matter Easterbunny, couldn't do it yourself?
Needed the help of Dragon Lord and Dog Lord?

You're a woos!

Come and get me if you can!

KIZERSOZI

Well well well
its taken a week but the freeps have finally found a voice
and what a squeaky little voice it is its almost so feeble me thinks it wont be heard for much longer.
As to the demise of you Nman well can you point out one moment in 7 turns when you were ever mighty??
Indeed the reason my nazgul freinds have turned up is beacause
i felt guilty takeing away all your easy pop centres we have agreed to share them between us seeing as you are not prepared to fight for them, but perhaps i am a little unfair
you have been badly let down by your allies surely dwarven
reinforcements will arrive soon wont they? or is the infighting still
rife amongst you.
As to your sneaky silvan freinds please let them know i have been charged with the defence of the back gate of Mordor as well
as your destruction and noone passes unless i say so.

Mighty I was from the start, and will be until the end.

It is not a thing proven by the number of troops, but the strength of heart and courage! You'll know it when you too will fight army after army which outnumber yours by far and still can't seem to get a serious grip on your nation. Or maybe you won't!
The fact that you're helped by the other nations shows the mightiest of the two of us!

But I agree that you and your friends are closing in on my capital, but we shall see what awaits you there. Will you chicken out again? Will you wait another few turns until yet another ugly, dumb, flail-swaying horde arrives at the scene? Or is this finally the time of action for you?

The northmen stand firm behind their ruler!

Mormegil
16th June 2003, 04:42 AM
Ugly, dumb and flail-swaying? Yeah, that's us! Man, how did ya know? Although you should add "rotten and stinking" the next time you mention our troops...it's their job, ya know?
Ugly is also a good description of what will happen to your nation, be sure of that...

Ugly, dumb, flail-swaying, rotten, stinking, foulbreath, smelly armpits, black teeth, ... I can go on and on, but the truth is that I've been under attack from turn 3 to turn 7 by three different nations without any help from my allies and that I'm still standing!

Any other team would have destroyed my nation in turn 5. And don't sell me any crap like:"We're just toying with you. We could have done that, but hey, where's the fun?"
Every player knows that to destroy one nation at the beginning is a good start for winning the entire war.

But now it's too late! I've got a brand new back-up popcenter in the west and allies waiting around the corner. Times will change!

But mark my words when I say that it will take time. I'm not able to turn things around in one or two turns, but we will speak again after turn 12 or so!

Good luck ... next time!!

Now Now no need to get stroppy cos it all going wrong for you freeps.
Il just put you right on a few issues. Yep your absolutley right
we COULD of had you out in 5 turns if we wanted but you rate yourself far to highly to think we targeted you alone as you can see we are removeing ALL the rubish from the Rhun your pop centres fall as they get in the way not by any other plan and to that end we have been 100% succesfull. in 2 turns there will be no free pop centres around the sea of Rhun be they dwarf, elf, or Nman.
Again you absolutley right to take out a player early on is a good
sign, but again however we are more than pleased that you have become a burden upon your fellow freeps.
Now littlle Nman your days of glory are over you can skulk off
to the west if you like but you will no longer stand in the way of our dark victory.
Muhahahahaahaaaaa
K.E.-Somebody stop me!!!

Sc0rp10
18th June 2003, 02:10 PM
I'll stop you.... but you'll just have to wait a bit longer to feel my sting...

Noldo on route.... BTW can you tell me if my ships can get to any of your pop centres ?? :( errr, maybe a change of plan!!!!
