Question Concerning Navy And Popcen Captures

Gents, second question same guy. Same game for that matter...

I have a navy with a lot of ships but most of them are warships. I am sitting on my enemy's popcen. I have the troop strength to take it. My question is how, if at all, does the navy strength figure into the formula? I am not facing an opposing navy, so can I assume that all of my ships will survive combat?

Your ships will not factor into combat. Your navy will anchor ships and become an army, which will then march on the pop center.

So PLEASED beware that your anchored ships remains. You have to pick up ships or issue MoveNavy orders (the latest only takes the transports you need to move and LEAVES behind the rest of your ships) to get the ships with you. Must be the most common error (but even a severly effected Alzheimer patient only does it once :)

You'll automatically pick up the necessary transports -- you need to issue the Pick up Ships order only if you want those warships.
