Honored WK: You and the Corsairs have put up a noble fight but your team is crumbling around you. You have fought the good fight and I admire you for it. But is it time for the DS to quit?

Away and bile yer heid!

Mr. Arth,

As Samgul the WK is away on offworld holiday, let me echo Bean's words - go heid your bile, or something like that.

Really, so you have dented South Mordor instead of coming thru the passes. You can't sustain it, we'll get it back, and your commander head count must still be a little low -all those extra 5000 bills for new ones gotta add up sometime, I hope !

Another witless army thrown at the Blackgate - man, that sure is helping my Dog troop morale, training and commander ranks...

Glasgow is a nice town. The last time I was there co-eds, singing drinking songs, kept me up all night. Now if Bean will tell me what nation he is playing I will go and 'bile my heide' in his neighborhood.

The Long Rider wishes to make you most welcome to the sea of Rhun. I would take great pleasure in assisting you to simmer your skull. C'mon up and join the party. As we speak, a paltry Eothraim cav army is recieving a stewing of the cranium.

 :D  :D :p :p :p :p

Avast ye maties, soon we'll round the horn and return with silks and spices the likes of which ye have ne'er seen...

Uh, I mean...

Foul free peoples, your consistant determination to allow the dwarves to survive merely invokes my ire.

Arthedain, the game is yet afoot, strange smells are in the air (smells like ofal, or is it victory?), and the fight has not left Angmar yet.
I wonder what your dwarven allies are doing? I've been waiting for them, but I will wait no longer. Time to retake what is mine and, for that matter, what was theirs.

Disappointed to find the elven army has escaped our noose. No matter. I've got plenty of rope to try again.

Greetings Arthedain

Back from my hols to find Elronds head rolling around the floor. Now how did that happen, I thought old pointy ears was immortal!

Oh well. I must applaud the huge ( and very expensive army) currently running through Mordor. Now question one. Where has the Cloud Lord capital moved to? seek and ye shall find, but by then it may be too late.
And all this time, the Corsairs are hitting back in South Gondor. Nice to know that while the SG commanders are away the SG area is wide open. Many thanks for the free pop centres. I intend to take my fill and sail away again.:p :p :p :p

So, Cloudy, you run the Corsairs also? Humm, three guesses where the CL's new capital is.

Greetings oh Arthedain type person. You are so sharp you may cut yourself. But of course, all this could be a double bluff. I notice how you focus on the areas you are confident in, but ignore all others. Pray tell me, are you attending Elronds funeral? and if so, can I join the party?
As for my new capital location, try and find it. I must be honest in that I have had to re-organise my finances a little to cope, but I will soon be back on the killing trail. I would call this a minor interruption in proceedings. When you locate my capital, please join my agents for a spot of tea and light refreshment.
Yours very Darkly

OK. Three turns until Mage "X" learns Percieve Secrets. Then we will take you up on your kind offer.

Strange name for a mage "X". Oh well, 3 turns at 3 kills a turn on average..... least I know I'm safe to continue my nefarious activities a few more turns away from the capital. Perhaps in that time I will get all the agents together and visit your capital.... mmmm tempting.
Enough of this dribbling, before Sherlock does his bit again and foils my plans!:p
I must admit to enjoying the exchange of views. Are any other free players able to visit here? You seem a lonely voice in the wilderness, coping admirably, but could do with a little support.... a bit like your game position.;) ;) ;)

Yes, well my team mates are retiring Europeans while I am the standard obnoxious American. Bring on your agents. I use the 'remote economy' and all the agents in the game can't disrupt my economy or knock me out of the game. Besides, if you hang in the far NW, you can't help out in Mordor.

We may be not too far off before Arthedain's pops begin to fall to the WK's armies. The dwarves and noldo armies are no threat to what i've got recruited... .

You just sit back and wait Arthedain, I will be there shortly.

Great! I'm short on food and prefer not to march to far. As you can see, I'm ready to fight you to the last elf and dwarf.

There I am, back from my holidays, and not too soon it seems. Now look at that South Gondor army in Mordor. It's an afront to Sauron. But where are all its commanders ? I'm sure there were lots of commanders with it at one time. What could have happened to them. Oh I know, clumsy Gondors have gone and lost them again.

Hi Arthedain, my colonial adversary. Sorry I cannot make your party with Sam for now. Maybe a little later on when Mordor has been cleaned up a somewhat.
;)

Anyway, enough of my dribble, good luck in the north Sam. We will soon have a suprise for the free players.

Alas, poor SG made the classical mistake of underestimating his opponents. Never fear, I always hold Murazor and Ji Indur in high respect. Don't like them you understand, just respect them for what they can do.

Be assured noble Arthedain, the Dark Lords admire good teamwork and communication, and as such hold you in high regard. However, you still follow the path of the free and thus will ultimately eat steel. We also agree with your thoughts on South Gondor, however, we are not totally taken in by his apparent incompetence. Nobody could be THAT bad surely !!!:p :p :p

Greetings again noble Arthedain. I note your reply with interest. there is a saying that goes "A bad workman blames his tools". Maybe the South Gondor player is a tool!;)

Attention Carn Dum Welcoming Committee,

Please disregard earlier requests for hanging of the "Welcome Dwarven Armies" banner. We have decided that the purchase of Wyrm, Inc.'s Freep Bomb will be more prudent. Those little buggering buggers get into everything and really block up the sewage. Better not to let them into our fair city in the first place.

Sam Q
6th August 2003, 10:46 AM
Now THAT's a little more like it. Finally got all those damned stumpies lumped up into one place. I can tell you Arthedain, my valiant adversary, this will cost them.

So, I see you are still doing the tax-based income thing... lots of improved pop centers all over the place. Makes me interested in acquiring new lands.

I must confess that I've been waiting for you and the Noldo to show up. Too bad they'll miss the party with the dwarves. That may have saved their lice-covered hides.

In other news, I've learned that my southern brothers have really struck some more serious blows against South Gondor. Commanders dieing all over the place, pop centers changing hands, armies going "poof". Wow. What chaos. It seems to me that your ally may well be calling you for a back up soon.

Arthedain73
6th August 2003, 12:00 PM
Never fear, Arthedain is not interested in what happens in SG. The fellow is getting what he has coming to him. You, esteemed enemy, will have my undivided attention.

Sam Q
6th August 2003, 01:16 PM
Don't suppose you'd allow me to build up some cities, seeing how well that's working for you?

I am merely happy with SG's passing. Although I may receive your undivided attention, I'm afraid the DS's wont be so noble, and you will receive significant attention from a few of my Nazgul brothers. Consider it a leveling of the field.

Now, about that tribute...

Greetings valiant Arthedain. It seems South Gondor has reached new levels of incompetence!!!:D :D :D

It is now just a matter of time for him to fall.Fancy not recruiting an army on his capital!

I hope all the free players are flocking to help him, draining your own economies.

And yet another SG commander has his throat cut, and in doing so, his little army will get a whupping on the BS capital, his characters will die, and all for what??

Good to see you doing better. Proves there are some competent players on the free side.

Arthedain73

It seems "South Gondor" will be an obsolete geographic term. We are relabeling our maps to read "Nuevo Corsicana".

And, yes, noble WK we will entertain receiving tribute from you. The rulebook specifically allows enemies to enter into agreements.
