the answer? That must be close.

I have a riddle that I need help with... two words.

Hobbit
Murderer


And "smeagol" was not the answer. Anyone have any
guesses? Sharky maybe?

I think he was known as Smeagol then.

RD: Pretty sure it's "Gollum". Strictly speaking of course, you are right and GSI is wrong, because Smeagol was his name at the time of the murder. He only became known as Gollum later, after his banishment.
