Greetings from the Free People of Southern Gondor and a special hello to my worthy adversaries.

br_fisher, I've once (and still in another life) sat in the throne of the Ice King and cwould say that you do indead suffer from exposure. Pray the dead of winter doesn't arrive too soon.

In any case, I'm looking forward to a good game. I can smell the battlefield already.

Greetings and Salutations to all and sundry.

Arthedain calling in,
Rhudaur and Dunlendings, I would greatly desire correspondence from your good selves at your earliest convenience to discuss your present and future positions.

I realise it is far to early to expect any decisions from you both but it would be nice to have a chat none the less. All correspondence can be directed to herman@iinet.net.au

To the DS and the Witch King in particular, be seeing you real soon.:D

Regards Herman (Scribe and court jester to ArgelebII)

Yes I see the DS have already descended to the basement, what with the Ice King exposing himself to all and sundry. Surely there is a law against that sort of behaviour. :p

Greetings Noble Peoples of Middle-Earth... Er, hello to you pathetic Freeps as well.

Our wondrous Dark Master has informed me that the so called "Free" Peoples have taken their moniker entirely too much to heart! They haven't paid rent on the lands owned by the Lord of the Rings and are in serious arrears! Necessarily, I have been charged with collecting on old unpaid debts, and my "collection agents" will be out to enforce His will.

The Neutrals obviously have nothing too worry about, they owe Us nothing. They did not accept Rings as gifts and then try to weasel out of their debt. To them we offer a hand of friendship and a solemn vow their lands, gold, and most importantly citizens will not be targets as long as they remain Neutral. We don't make war on civilians. The Elves, Dwarves, and in particular Dunedain had better pay up though, or things will become unpleasant for them. Don't take it personal, it's just business.

Boss of the Cloud Lord family

Greetings esteemed neutrals,
Imagine that it's not even winter and Ji is already whining about a shortage of money. For us free the problem is trying to spend it faster than we make it. It can be tough at times.
Ji makes mention of 9 rings. Seems when you accept gifts from the Dark One there is always strings attached. Mainly your free will. So if you like hearing DS emmisaries pleading for money day after day after day after day, than Dark is your path. However if you like hearing, what do you want to do and how can we help than the enlightened path is yours.

We always knew you weren't as anal-retentive as the other Dunedain. You have a true appreciation for Dark Lord's Great Crusade. Cheers to you, will make sure to kill you last.

Herman, I believe the spelling should be Nazgucrophillia.
Since NM commanders tend to have a short life span, they plan on practicing for the afterlife. It's either one of the nine or that bag 'o'bones mage of the cld. l. I think Adunaphel will do in a pinch.

Hello Ji,

Thanks for understanding our position. I mean, if you don't come to collect the rent, then why should I pay. You have alowed us to get lax in our responsibilities. Now here we are a few hundred years later and you want us to pay up. Well.. we might have something to say about that. I think the land is ours now. We kept it up, settled it, made it prosper and you haven't made any financial or physical contributions to these improvements. So I think we have a good argument againt paying the rent. And we believe we have a claim!

Also, about those little ring trinkets..sorry we never received any one of those here in Cardolan nor did our forefathers in Eriador and/or Numenor.

But just in case our argument does not hold water with you we are going to double our expenditures on security. Not to offend you or make you angry, but..just in case. I mean, C'mon Ji, you guys have a bad reputation around thes parts!

Ji,
i wish to hand you a bill for having fixed the place up. The roof leaked the plumbing sucked and the place was practically falling down around our ears. We called and left messages but like the slack landlord you are you failed to do anything about it. We had to call in tradesmen to fix the problems and have paid for it ourselves. I think you will find that you owe us, plus interest. We will be comming to collect so you had better start saving.

Regards Herman (Scribe and Court Jester to Argeleb II) :)

:p

Eriadoran Dead-beats,

The rent is always due. Just because we didn't show up, doesn't mean you get to slip. We also going to collect interest, so make sure to pay my leg-breake..., umm excuse me, "collection agents" what you owe.

That's too bad about your expenses to keep things up, that breaks my heart. I forgot I'm dead, I don't have one! No excuses!
I don't want to hear any whining about "we didn't accept any Rings". Blah, blah, blah! Your ancestors, the Numenoreans accepted Rings from the Dark Lord, three to be exact. Now the debt falls on you, the sins of the father passed on to his children.

I don't want to have to get rough with ya, don't make me the Bad Guy!

Um, actually Ji regulation 614.93(a) from Middle Earth Statutes (1592) 2nd ed. states "There is a 50 year statute of limitations for actions to collect unpaid rent." Don't you remember that incident in 1247 with Mr. Vatterman? Turned out he had title to Barad Dur and was trying to squeeze the Dark Lord for unpaid moneys, so we pushed through the regulation?

Regarding Said Rings of Power and the lands they purchased: (see previous claims put forth by one Ji Indur)

The rings of power were in the most part forged by one Celebrimdor in ELVEN forges some 1600 years ago. The theft of said rings by Sauron (aka Annatar, Gorthaur, Dark Lord, etc..) is well documented. The direct descendents of Celebrimdor (i.e., the Noldo Elves) are the rightful owners of the rings.

On behalf of Celebrimdor's estate, and seeing that said rings are no longer available for reclamation, we, the Noldo Elves, claim the lands that said rings were used to purchase. We file our claim as direct descendants of creator of the rings and on behalf of all Free Peoples of Middle Earth.

After all, the only thing deadlier than the Assassins of Kal Nargil is a good beauracracy.....

Mike
