4th Age Limited Agent Game SignUp List

Greetings, to all who are tired of agent-dominated games.

This thread is dedicated to attracting enough players to get a 4th Age Limited Agent game going as quickly as possible.
Limited Agent (LA) games allow players to enjoy more fully the military, emissary and mage aspects of the game as well as the agent game -- without letting the agent game dominate allk the other aspects. The goal is to bring agents into better balance with the other aspects and dimensions of the game. The 4th Age is the perfect scenario for this type of "customized" ME PBM game.

So add your name to the list. We have three already: Nanook, Celebion and Nimdraug. Only 22 more to go!

Best if you guys get back to me with the list so that I can assist. Then I'll create the list with players on it. Usually there is a clear indication of what players want and then I get the rest to go with that.

It would be nice if we could get a regular update on the signup list. The main idea behind creating a thread like this one is to generate interest and enthusiasm for getting a new game going.

At this time, however, I have no idea how many players are interested.

On the Front Sheet that megames sends out, it details Games Filling. You'll get this either on a current game email, or irregularly across the mepbmlist@yahoogroups.com email group if you're a member. If there's a listing for a FA LAS game, it's likely this one, no?

You can always email the company privately at me@middleearthgames.com and ask also if you like.

Correct - I can't spend the time to individually check out each list with an email whenever someone joins. At present there's about 4 players. There's a Grudge team out there as well that will might be available - but we'll see how that develops.

Note we also post weekly to the website updated information (Friday afternoon).

I have a question and a comment.


All my turns last week show game 40 as the only FA filling. It does not have it listed as a variant that I can discern. Same for the website though its highly possible that I dont understand the workings of these things being a recently un-retired GSI player.


As for the grudge team, I dont care to participate in a solo game with grudge team. Having played several FA grudge games they are just too many advantages for grudge team:
1) Pre-established lines of good communication
2) Team concept already established.
3) Ability of complimentary designs (SNA's)
4) Ability to manipulate your starting locations among teammates so your team gets their desired spots.

If others are OK with playing against a grudge team then just remove my setup and I will wait for another game.

Sorry we keep Grudge games separate. Game 40 (now 41 btw as game 40 is still active) is a non-Grudge game with all the rules that are implicit in that. Feel free to get in touch directly for a copy of our house rules as LOTS of things have changed since GSI's days.

We do have a Grudge team looking for opposition but I don't put individuals in against them for the reasons (and more) that you have stated.
