Don't necessarily disapprove of efforts to curtail spam, but I'm not sure exactly what the message below really means. I'll clarify my confusion (?) below:

So, does Rhudaur 139 count as "signed", or do I have to put my name down while sending out jibes and curse-free ribbing to my opponents?

How can you say "only allow" above then "won't be editing.." here?

Either in that situation would be fine.

No. What is a "file"? I'm typing an "email", it might be considered a "post".

Are you talking about how the Memberships to the Group are moderated? It sounds like you're talking about every single post/email to the yahoogroup...

If you're talking about how you allow new members, than what you're saying is "New" members cannot be anonymous, but as you're "not checking" any list/files, all "current anonymous" members won't be affected?

Meanwhile - as the members list is closed, ONLY the moderator (yourself) will have access to this information? Meaning, new members can send emails/posts to the list, anonymously, at their leisure, and there is no mechanism by which other members (readers) can determine the identity of these people. Of course, MEGames won't reply to any of these posts/emails, even if directly requested.

Have I got it?
