The army will disappear if they go bankrupt, but not right away if they just
drop or are knocked out.

Hi,

In two different games in the last two weeks I've seen two enemy
armies show up in the same hex. My team gives the order to attack,
but the enemy army is no longer there. The only order that should
make an army disappear between last turn and the attack is a
personal challenge. However in both cases this is extremely
unlikely. I thought armies hung around for awhile after a nation
dropped or went BK. OR is that not the case? Will armies disappear
the turn after a nation goes BK if they're not on their own pop
center?

Thanks,
-Chesley

Also, just so you n\know, even if a nation does go BK, an army will NOT dissappear while in a fortified PC of its nation... eventually qhen that PC dissapear ( yes, even fortified downgrade when BK ) then it begins to disband

My experience has been that it is food in the baggage train that is the
critical element. When a nation is eliminated all of its' armies without
food disband next turn. If, however, you have a case of a 100 man army with
one food at a friendly town the army will last indefinately. That is until
the pop center is influenced out from under it, or the commanders and
subcommanders are eliminated.

So would you say that the armies would disappear if there was no food and
the nation wasn't bankrupt, but was knocked out but still having gold?

I'm saying 'eliminated' from what ever cause. Yes, I have seen nations go
bankrupt with gold in their treasury, but this is not the only way to get
eliminated.

That is interesting. I hadn't been paying attention to the food aspect and
was thinking it was solely bankrupt.

Hi, all!

Does anybody know anything about it (dragon's challenge level)? How much is
it?

Somewhere over 250, probably less than 275, but it's entirely possible
that individual dragons may vary from the average. Insufficient Data.

I've killed dragons at 261. I've also lost challenges at 263.
