Howdy,

In order 900, it says that locating artefacts is based on mage skill. Does this mean that none mages cannot find artefacts or that their skill is 0 bu they can still try?

Has anyone ever found anything with a 900 order with a character with no mage skill?

Yes, frequently. My mages are usually to busy to go adventuring in the wilderness.

How about open seas? Can Faltur 900 #1 or for that should I really send Meriot...?

personally, for such an important artifact, id make sure that I have a mage there to pick it up.

There's a difference between reacting to encounters and the 900 order. Artifacts "hidden" or whatever the term is in your capital, for example, when you have some at game start in FA or that Noldo toy, can be picked up by anyone of that nation, is my understanding. After that, most players presume a "sliding scale" whereby the "more powerful" artifacts will be more difficult to pick up...

OK Thanks. I have been spending my time using only mages :rolleyes:
