Hi there, I have a question regarding war machines. Please indicate in your reply if you are sure about the answer or it is a guess ;)

The question is: Does war machine strength get ADDED to the army's strength against pop centres?

I know that war machines add 50 strength each against enemy ARMIES.

I also know that war machines add 200 points towards calculating whether enemy fortifications will be reduced, against POP CENTRES.

What I don't know is if, additionally to having a chance of reducing fortifications, the war machines actually add to the army's strength against POP CENTRES. And if so, do they add 50 or 200 strength each?

The pop centre battle example in the manual suggests that no strength is added against pop centres. However, wishful thinking says that they... might :) So, has anyone tried this and knows for sure what is the case?

Many thanks!

War machines subtract from the fortification's constitution but otherwise have no effect on the pop center. I'm so sure this is correct I risk army after army on this basis.

10 war machines negate a tower

30 war machines negate a fort and so on.

Very handy item, can save a save a lot of troop recruitment and often catch your opponent off guard.
