Gontran and Erennis taste like chicken, Corleone got smacked arround a bit too, no?
I love killing killers....

My, my, my how things have changed. Just last turn the FP cried "Woe is us, all the Neutrals have joined the DS! Foul! We're going to quit, I want my mommie!" Now the tune has changed, the Noldo and their human slaves are bragging about how they "love killing killers."
Let's try some perspective, shall we? I'll extrapulate, so try to follow...
Erennis and Gontarn died doing their jobs. My guys expect to die, that's what they do. As long as you spend time worrying about them, chasing them, and killing them, Rhudaur lives. I have no problem with this. My guys had no special abilties, no lovely Agent trinkets that the game placed in the Noldo's backyard, just what meager talents Sauron gave them. Granted, it wasn't enough against the Noldo agents, and they died. Jeepers, whatever am I to do?
My guys are easily replaced, and replaced they shall be. How expendable will the Noldo agents be? When I finally catch up with them (and I will-just a matter of time really) then maybe I'll have some trinkets too.
Grow some eyes in the back of your heads boys. My agents may be expendable, but they still will be avenged. There is honor amongst killers and thieves!

Corleone, if he takes any more wounds he will be doing a great impersonation of The Mummy. As for the whining I think you will find that the players who were cracking a sad over the neutrals no longer play on this team. They took their PC's and went home, you only have the hard nuts left to deal with.

Hopefully we can get Corleone some much deserved R&R, and the stress therapy he needs. Then he'll be back, good as new.
As for the "hard nuts", good - trim the fat and dead weight, leave the fanatics to go down swigin'!. All the better to crack!

excerpt from the Tharbad Times
"You got to admire Corleone. He has tried to do his job several times and each time he gets caught and spanked. I mean this guy has been injured 3 of the last four turns and is still alive. And he is still trying to be an agent. Can't blame him for trying though.
Maybe he should try another line of work, I hear body recovery business in Rhuadar is booming and their expecting this to spread north to Angmar."

I always thought the best way to win a war was to "Make the other bastard die for their country!" "General Patton WWII"
Let's face Corleone is a clutz all round. First he cannot achieve his missions and then he fails to die nobly in the attempt. I picture something like the O.J Simpson scene where he tries to arrest the guys on the boat in the Naked Gun when I think of Corleone the clutz.

I'd like to believe that Arthedain/Cardolan/Noldo failed three times to kill a scrubby CL agent before he's properly trained! So much attention paid to such a lowly character! We''ll make sure to pass these comments on to him; it'll cheer him up while he's recuperating.

Say what you will, Herman, the battle at Penmorva was a dark servant victory. 256 LC, 2630 HI, 234 LI, 127 AR, 383 MA frozen solid by Lomaw, along with those disgusting rat-faced hobbits creatures. Little terrorists. I am glad Murazor was willing to intervene, but it's too little, too late. My compliments on a game well played.
Earnil has a bit much at Cameth Brin-- 269 HC, 135 LC, 3547 HI, 135 LI, 122 AR, 872 MA, minus whatever you lost flattening the remnants of Thuin Boid and Marendil's 200 HI. Cough. I expected a big army, but not... quite... that... much. What did you do, strip Tharbad of every able-bodied man, woman, and child? (Not to mention whatever Rogrog is facing this turn). Can't we all just get along? I don't suppose it too late to talk about peaceful coexistance?
A true man of quality would be gracious and extend the hand of friendship and peace. Leave now and we won't hinder your departure.

Regarding the Cardolani armies at Cameth Brin and facing WK army at 1708. I think we will win both battles. Pelendur is well aware of the numbers you have at 1708 and He thinks he can pull a victory out there. BUt our generals tend to be optimistic!
Rhudaur presence in Eriador may be dwindling but we still have to kick Er Murazor out of Angmar and we still have alot of work to do. I honor our enemy for putting on a good fight but the big mistake (in my humble view) was the Rhudaurian army crossing the mountain path. You may have hurt the Free in that area but you doomed Eriador to the Free. This fight could have still been going on and lasted many more turns. But alas its turn 9 and Rhuadar may be done in Eriador. Leaving the WK to face the might of the Dunedain in the north. But I must say the move was different and I liked the concept, next time just make sure you have enough at home to fend off the horde from Cardolan.
Nevertheless, if our Rhuadar opponent is done, I strongly advise a quick return to Middle Earth! Keep at it my adversary, and don't get offended when others advise you.
With regards to the southern front, how long does it take to get armies from 3028 to 3024.....a long damn time!!!! It usually takes me two turn, its taking you guys 4. Try order number 180 it may aid in the movement process! . Get coordinated fast or we are gonna have your rear end for lunch.
Thats right boys, GONDOR is alive. And the big wyrms won't save you forever, we can recruit them as well!
Over all, it is continuing to be a very fun game and I look forward to another 10 turns. The Free still have our backs against the wall but there is always hope!

The only problem once you crush one of your enemies is that they then have to leave. I was hopeing thet Rhu had picked up some property in Mordor (I hear it is going cheap, great developement potential) to continue the fight. Free hire in one of the passes would have been sweet for you guys. Good luck in the next game if you are indeed kaput in this one.

We have a FK enemy with a sense of humor. He seems to be the grand coordinator and I was totally fooled on your movements from 3028 to 3024. I must admit, I'm at a lost, I can't compete :-)
My only hope is that you guys get serious and lose the humor and get determined. Once that happens you become predictable and I can counter your every move. But from what I am seeing, its over. Too much funny stuff going on. I can't compete!

"My only hope is that you guys get serious and lose the humor and get determined."
Never! Don't you know humor and evil do well together? Just look at our names (We did, as we sat around the table sipping coffee with marshmellows up at the angmar ski resort and casino a few years back).
Nazgul #1: I...Want to be the Witch King!
Nazgul #10: What??? That's a girly name! Look at the Pansy, let go burn her! Watch out for the Witchy-Poo!
Nazgul #1: I WANT TO BE THE WITCH KING
Sauron: I kind of like it.
Everyone: Oh yes.. well then.. Witch King it is.
Nazgul #2: Whatz doozz ya think me name be then?
Nazgul #3: Flamer!
Nazgul #8: The Gay Guy.
Nazgul #4: I think that name is already taken actually.
Nazgul #8: Oh ok, how about smelly.
Nazgul #4: I think that is a dwarf's name too.
Nazgul #8: Dopey?
Nazgul #2: I think that is Nazgul #9's name. I'llz just go with the longgggg rider.
Nazgul #9: Hey now! I am not going to be dopey, I'll be the long rider and YOU be dopey!
Nazgul #6: But what if I want to be Dopey?
Nazgul #2 sips his latte, pinky finger raised but obviously quivering about. I like Long Rider or Lizard Slong Lord.
(Sauron, now obviously getting irritated at the minor quibbing, the lidless eye starts to wish it had a lid or tear ducts).
Sauron: SHUT UP! Ok, #2 The Lizard Thing is just retarted. I'm giving your house to the servants (sauron winks... well if he could.. to the guy pooring his expresso) and your summer home to #7. But to make up for it, I'll give you a nice name that should make everyone happy. You will be the dragon lord. There, now your a flamer, a lizard, and ... long.
Nazgul #10: Um, like that was a totally lame joke.
Sauron turns to him and stares (again wishing he had lids so he could better make the point).
Nazgul #3: Rough!
Nazgul #4: What?
Nazgul #3: Rough!
Nazgul #4: Huh?
Nazgul #3: ROUGH!
Sauron: Yes, ruff... hmm. I like it, you can be the dog lord then, lets move on.
Nazgul #3: Wait, I was saying I had it rough! could I please be The Great Warg Master P?
The table turns to him, all stopping their sipping of high quality drink.
Nazgul #4: I want to be the cloud lord.
Sauron (obviously shivering): Yes... What ever you'd like Ji... Servants, get him some more... whatever he wants.
Nazgul #8 to #4: Want some of mine?
Nazgul #6: Stop sucking up to him!... Mr. Cloud Lord would you like some cake?
The servant: I'll give you some artifacts... No reason, just will.
Cloud Lord: I will take them all... Thank you very much.
Everyone, including sauron: Of course master, whatever you wish, oh great one.
Nazgul #5: My turn right?
Nazgul #10: Your king of the obvious!
Nazgul #5: I like The great and powerful Oz. I see all! (he turns and quickly looks down #7 blouse. She spots the action however, then turns to Ji and whispers "no more candy shop unless you fix this constant invasion of privacy"). With a nod from Ji, out of the shadows twin dagger fly and strike #5 in the eyes, blinding him!
Nazgul #5: I'm blind, I'm Blind!!!
Sauron: Ok your blind then... Good name.. Lets move on.
Nazgul #6: Um... Could we talk about my location?
Sauron: Sure, what's up, you don't like sitting next to the...dragon lord?
Nazgul #6: No, no, I'm talking about my castle! I'm the friggen nose. I want someplace secure, between two or more other people so I can be safe. Dol Guldor is just too exposed.
Dragon Lord: Oh... I like exposure.
#6: ick. Get away (pushing the Dragon lords hand off his knee).
Dragon Lord: Youz are way...WAy to cold. Icy Cold.
Sauron: I like it. #6 your the Ice Master P. And you can switch homes with the dragon lords new one. Dragon lord where did you place it?
Dragon lord: Next to the dog and smoky.
Dog Lord: Hey, I wanted to be Master P.
Sauron: fine, fine, #6. you'll be just the Ice King then.
Nazgul #7 (whispering, so next to no one can hear her). I would like to be call the rough rider princess.
Sauron: What did she say?
Nazgul #10: She said she want to be called Slut. Cause she away is putting out.
#7 turns, obviously pissed and glances at the cloud lord. Seconds later #10 is no more. Not even he knows what happen to him.
Sauron: Wow she's got a temper.
Witch king: Revengeful even.
Sauron: Ok, she can be the quiet revenger.
Witch King: I think that would be Avenger sir.
Sauron: Yes avenger. that's it. Re and A and the numbers 3 and 5...
Witch King: Sir, I think only a few will get that reference.
Sauron turns to him looking to change the subject.... Nice ski resort you have here...
Nazgul #8: Cloud lord, might I offer to you to name me oh glorious master and savior?
Cloud Lord: I say you will be the Fire King, since you alway feel the heat of gondor.
Fire King: Thank you glorious one, you are both wise and powerful.
Cloud Lord: Yes, that's fine, now go take a shower.
Nazgul #9: Can I PLEASE be the Long Rider.
The Dragon Lord: Oh yes, long rider.
Sauron: Fine, do what you'd like, your not part of the main team anyway, always running off on your own...
Sauron turns to his servant. I want you to have everything, my home, the money, the toys, I want you to have it all, these fouls would throw it away on cheap beer and whores...Well except the Dragon lord... and send a note to the elves, that we're not going to pay the taxes and they can come in and take Dol Guldor back anytime...
DL's: "But sir, that will leave the dragon lord to be stationed in the rear."
Sauron: "Well yes, right where he likes it. But let him get hammered first, then it can be his turn to be in the rear".

Take the luck that you had this time and be grateful! You probably didn't even find it yourself. I can see it now.

WK player to Rhuadar player: Hey buddy, why don't you send this character to this hex and hope Aivnec is still there. If he is respond this way. Make sure you have an army in this area that has this ranked commander in it.
Rhuadar player: Man, I'm great in this Middle Earth game. I should boast about it to all so they can know how really great a player I am.

Try being Rhudaur in a grudge game with Arthy, Cardy Duns and Noldo on you from T#1 and Dwarves joining after Gooby goes under. I was still in the NW on T#22. When you are still there that late you can brag. If you last till T#12 I will be supprised. Dragons won't always be there to bail you out.

I'm quite happy with Rhudaur's play-- dragons are part of the game after all.
It takes at least as much skill to find, locate and get the dragon where it's needed as it does to mindlessly recruit thousands of heavy infantry in Erudor and hurl them at the dark servants. What's he supposed to do, defeat the raw might of Cardolan, Arthedain, the Noldo, and now the Dwarves on the field of battle in a straight fight? He'd get slaughtered!
I can understand the frustration of the Free... it's annoying to have four turns of troops go up like matchsticks... but don't begrudge him his victory. Sheer numbers will tell, in the end.

You are right, you shouldn't last past turn 10. Due to your brilliance you have staved off our all efforts and ensured the survival of both Rhuadar and Angmar. I bow before you excellence and only hope "we can all get along now"
From now on though, remember when you go DS on T2, you are goig to fight ALOT of FP on order for them to control Eriador as soon as possible.
And I disagree all you need to recruit a dragon is luck and a memory. Not skill!

There is more to it than that when it comes to recruiting thousands and sending them forth. You gotta pay for them, manuever them and get them where they will do the most harm without allowing the enemy into your homeland.
