For what?

Honey for the Neutrals?

Next game the 20 should take out the 5 before playing it in a way we've seen it the games before.

Still 8, 2 weeks in a row...that it, we hit a wall in 1 weeker's now..? Gads, 1 week is sooooo long to wait for a turn, even the PoWeR game (Mon and Thur every week..) was a drag, come now, this game should have a 48hr turnaround, I know, I know, they're always complaining about programming, etc... So, well, this one is the best they have, a week, I guess that leaves us time to eat and sleep a bit inbetween turns (although we could easily manage 3 turns before taking a break...I should ask around about that game...) so, well, you may as well sign up for this one as it's the best they can do under the(ir) circumstances..!

Still 8 - 3 weeks now. Should we expect a rush after labour day...?

An interesting twist would be to have the Corsairs and Harad randomly split between the two alliances at game start. That gives each side a big bruiser, keeps you guessing about how the split will go, and still allows for the neutral x-factor with Rhu, Duns and Easties all up for grabs.

Bah. How about removing all 5 1650 neuts altogether and putting in the 4 2950 neuts:

Dunlendings, Corsairs, Khand and Rhun. Castrated rump nations, disparate and far apart. Would all the "Not Fair~!" babies be happy then..?

Ah, nice. We're back to 9 nations need now. We need full disclosure in this world, I think. Imagine the tidal wave of common courtesy you'd see returning to society..??

Here, we would know immediately who dropped the No Drop Gunboat's - and what players got eliminated for being complete tools... :D We'd also know who WAS on the sign up for the 1 weeker...but skipped out on us.... :(

I think this one week scenerio is dead except for those who have ruined it for the ones who left.. maybe you guys should play two nations and thump your chests proclaiming how anything goes.. Hell I wouldn't even play a nuetral in this format ever again.

What happened in the last one week game that ruined it for you?

I'm really not clear that the 1 week games are any, ahem, "different" than the 2 week games, actually, excepting the highly emotional have less time to deal with the stress and anxiety produced by the faster pace.

I beg to differ -- in the one week games the nuerals ruined it for me in the last three, one week games I played and I was a nuetral in two of those. In the two week games for some reason it always seems to be an even split. Two out of those three games I was in , 4 neutrals all went one way and in one of them -- yes I did also, so in the other I decided to say screw it and went the other way and yes I got my arse handed to me which I knew was gonna happen !!

Main thing I got out of it was that in the one week games, once the neutrals seen who was on what side they decided to go that way -- now is this wrong -- no , but in the one week games it is always the same people with only one or two players switching up.

So I will save my money and play the two week or the Gunboats that I am really enjoying, boy do I miss game 95 !!

Yes, that's why some of us should stick to being neutrals... ;)

I think Ruggha has it right - the neutral influence is the same, but in the one week format it happens faster and people don't have time to chill out. My two week games have been influenced by neutrals (which is another way of saying that in my two week games one side or the other seems to fail at diplomacy).

We kicked ass in that game, didn't we..? :) Knew we were winning for a while, but was still surprised it ended when it did. Of course, looking at the map the FP provided, well, no longer surprised.. ;)
